Description
A mother and son living on peaceful 21 acres nestled between 2 big mountains, near every kind of outdoor recreation you can imagine. Current projects are fence building and various carpentry tasks in the shop. (No experience necessary - but greatly appreciated) Daily feeding of 10 cows, 2 dogs, as well as simply holding down the fort while we are away. We are away from home a lot! We have an off grid cabin on the top of the property and a camper near the house for living quarters. There's an endless amount log splitting and brush clearing/burning for those who are interested in staying busy with hard work. Everyone is welcome in the house for meals, bathrooms, planning the day or just hanging out.

Aide
Depending on the season, there are a variety of projects to work on here. Spring is busy with fence building and preparing the garden. Summer involves hauling hay, gardening and moving cows. Fall is when fences get built (again), forested portions of the farm need to be improved and forest fire fuels removed and burned. Winter is a bit slower, requiring snow shoveling and plowing, firewood stacking. There is work on the cabin and building projects to work on in the shop year round. I always get workawayers out for some hiking or other adventure too. Something for everyone!

Hébergement
Travelers could stay in the cabin, sleep out under the stars, in hammocks, or sleep in our camper. A spare bedroom is a possibility and use of the inside bathroom is ok, as well. I provide a few meals per week and use of BBQ or fire pit.

Autres infos...
Hiking around Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens and around the Columbia River Gorge is one of my favorite things to do. We snowmobile and sled here on the property if a winter visit is in order. We're at 2000 ft elevation and get quite a bit of snow. Floating the Klickitat or Trout Creek is fun on hot days. You can pick huckleberries late August. There's just so much beauty and outdoor recreation here.
