Description
A mother and son living on peaceful 21 acres nestled between 2 big mountains, near beautiful hiking, skiing, kiteboarding, kayaking destinations. Currently have a calf that needs a bottle several times per day and a lot of work in the woods. We have an unfinished cabin on the top of the property with a view of Mt Hood. There's lots of wildlife, 2 entertaining dogs, some cows and sometimes hogs. The main project at the moment is to clear tree brush, cut and splitting logs, and lots and brush to burn in the forested areas of the farm in order to make us as resilient as possible to forest fire.

Aide
The health of the forested portions of the farm needs to be improved and forest fire fuels removed and piled for future burning. Tasks include thinning, pruning, branch and brush removal. Some chainsaw use and stacking of firewood. There is finish work to be done on the cabin and depending on the season, a variety of farm projects - gardening, fence repair, landscaping, hay hauling, snow shoveling. Something for everyone!

Any!Hébergement
Travelers could stay in the cabin, sleep out under the stars, in hammocks, or sleep in our camper. A spare bedroom is a possibility and use of the inside bathroom is ok, as well. I provide a few meals per week and use of BBQ or fire pit.
Autres infos...
Hiking around Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens and around the Columbia River Gorge is one of my favorite things to do. We snowmobile and sled here on the property if a winter visit is in order. We're at 2000 ft elevation and get quite a bit of snow. Floating the Klickitat or Trout Creek is fun on hot days. You can pick huckleberries late August. There's just so much beauty and outdoor recreation here.
