    Description

We live in a quiet and peaceful place with a big 700m² garden, where we enjoy nature every day. We are thinking about making our garden bigger, up to 10,000m², but we plan to do it slowly, step by step.

Our dream is to create a calm and relaxing space where people can find peace in nature. To help with this, we’ve planted fruit and nut trees, and we use a "no dig" method to grow vegetables in a sustainable way.

We also try to live in a way that’s good for the environment, aiming to be as self-sufficient and off-grid as possible, living in harmony with nature.

    Transportation:
You’ll have your own bicycle, which will make it easy to get around. A 20-minute bike ride will take you to Geisenhausen, a small town with shops and a train station.

In the other direction, a 30-minute bike ride will take you to Landshut, a bigger city with lots of activities, cultural places, restaurants, nightlife, and a friendly community.

If you want to explore further, Munich is only an hour and a half away by train, and the beautiful Alps are just two hours away by train, offering stunning views and plenty of outdoor activities.

In Germany we currently have a good train ticket:
"The Deutschlandticket (lit. 'Germany ticket') often shorted to the D-Ticket, also known as the 49-Euro-Ticket, is a subscription public transport ticket for all local public transport, valid in the whole of Germany, that costs 49 euros per month." (Wikipedia)
I can book it for you, but please note the following restriction: You must cancel the subscription by the 10th of the month. If you purchase it after the 10th (e.g., on the 11th), you will be charged for the following month as well, as the cancellation will only take effect the next month."

You can reach us by taking a train from "Munich" to "Landshut". From there, you can either take a bus to "Kumhausen Rathaus" or a train to "Geisenhausen", and we'll pick you up. If you prefer to take an Uber, let me know and I'll send you our exact location.

You’ll get the chance to learn about permaculture gardening and how to cook tasty vegan food. We bake sourdough bread, ferment vegetables, and can show you how to make pizza in a wood-fired oven. We can also help you learn German, English, or French.

We enjoy doing yoga, painting, singing, and playing board games together. We also love going outdoors, whether it's a bike ride to a river or lake for a swim. On weekends, we can do fun things like indoor climbing, mini golf, bowling, or walking through the historic old town of Landshut.

To experience Bavarian culture, we’ll take you to local festivals where you can enjoy sauerkraut, beer, pretzels, and the lively atmosphere.

If you're not sure if this is the right place for you, we can set up a video call to show you around and help you decide.

  • Hébergement

    Hébergement

    We have two rooms available:

    - One room with two beds, ideal for couples or friends staying together, offering a shared, dorm-like atmosphere.
    - The other room has a single bed for individual guests.
Both rooms are equipped with shelves, bright windows, and heaters to ensure your comfort.

The bathroom is shared among all volunteers, so please keep your personal items in your room. Volunteers are responsible for keeping the bathroom clean. I recommend setting up a cleaning schedule based on usage, with a thorough cleaning at least twice a week.

As we’re all living together in one house, the common areas are shared. Please make sure to keep everything tidy and clean. If you notice any dirt, even if it’s not yours, it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a moment to vacuum or tidy up.

We all share this space, so please follow basic house rules for communal living:

    - Put away your belongings and clean up any mess you notice, even if it's not yours.
    - Minimize dirt in the house by leaving shoes and any debris outside or in the entrance.
    - Keep the shared areas tidy, and always leave the bathroom clean after use.
    - Be mindful not to waste food, energy or water.
    - Maintain quiet hours from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    - Be punctual.
    - No phones during meals and working hours.
    - Manage your work hours responsibly; nobody wants to monitor anyone's schedule.
    - notice that we can only provide the three meals at home not in a restaurant.

It's unfortunate I have to write this, as these should be common sense for everyone.

We have very good internet connection with enough speed to work remotely. Up- and downloading large files or video calling is no problem at all. You have your own desk in your room. But you can as well work outside in the shed or in the garden.

We have enough space on the gravel area. It's also no problem to give to electricity and fresh water. Maybe the waster water we need to think how we can connect you there. But together we will manage.
