Our farm is a small, agricultural facility currently transitioning to exclusively provide organically raised plant and animal products. We are modifying and adjusting portions of the acreage near the lake into a retreat center and wilderness support system focused on holistic living. The primary focus is an agricultural and wilderness supportive facility that provides education and life styles aligned with maintaining personal health through ecological and environmental conscious choices while maintaining alignment with transformation. This project involves development from raw earth using compressed earth blocks (Adobe type materials), therefore reducing adverse impact on the environment. We are focused on sustainable resource harvesting with minimal impact both ecologically and environmentally. Work exchange volunteers will be involved from the very early stages of development through completion.
We operate in a macro-management style and promote individual contributions aligned with the vision. Our project manager lives on site. Our perma-culturist has extensive knowledge and experience in organic farming with a primary focus on reforesting. Work exchange volunteers may have an opportunity for perpetual learning and implementing permaculture techniques.
The immediate projects are a Tiny House style cabin, construction of Compressed Earth Block infrastructures, relocating livestock fencing, and trail building. Those listings can be reviewed on our web site.
We recognize the possibility of communicable diseases and support an individual's free choice of medicine, completely supporting plant based medicines, naturopathy and homeopathy remedies as an individual choice or preference. We do not require nor enforce "social distancing" and allow each individual the freedom to make their own conscious choices regarding contact in their interactions. Facial prophylactics are discouraged and also not required.
We are implementing Paid Positions for some perpetual projects.
We are of many ages ranging from young adults to grandparents. We believe it is important to empower work exchange volunteers and invite you to participate in developing skills, knowledge and experience through several of our on-going projects.
We cannot host families with children. We will not host those who smoke tobacco such as cigarettes, cigars or pipes. We will not host those with pets.

We offer experience with designing and building from a diverse ecological and environmental awareness. We offer direct interaction with engineers, architects, and scientists regarding permaculture, earthen fabrication, water reclamation, water purification, and food resourcing when those experts are available. We allow and promote work exchange Workawayers to suggest and implement ideas for projects from their regions and promote positive interaction among Workawayers and staff members. Through this we envision implementing cultural concepts into our development and providing cultural development to Workawayers.
We are an agricultural entity extending our farm to include a retreat center for spiritual and healing connections. This is bare land being developed from the ground up which includes sustainable, ecological and environmental consciousness. We will be building cabins, creating and clearing trails, building compressed earth block structures, building greenhouses and gardens, removing and replacing fencing, tractor and backhoe work, building bridges across water ways, clearing debris from the lake, maintaining fallen trees and building trails using chainsaws, manual tools and clippers. This is primarily physical labor. We are seeking work exchange for these projects and for video and digital documentation from start to finish. We are seeking people who are aligned with our vision of complimenting our earth through agriculture and collective consciousness. The projects are on going with more opportunities than can be listed here. However, the list is the primary focus. This is a country setting less than an hour drive east of Austin, Texas.
