  Description

  Our small organic farm and agritourism is situated above Lake Trasimeno, at 4 km distance from the quaint village of Castel Rigone. On our six hectars we mainly have olive trees and produce our own olive oil. We also grow lavender, rosemary, fragrant roses, fruit and vegetables. From April to November we rent out holiday apartments and host groups and seminars. We organize various courses (including cooking classes, dance classes and art classes). We are originally from Germany and have been running the farm in Umbria since 1998.
  
  We speak Italian, English and German.

  Before applying for a job at La Rogaia, please check our calendar if there is an availability.
  
  If during the time you would like to come the calendar is already blocked, it doesn't make sense to apply, as it is a waste of your and our time.
  Please understand that we will not respond to requests for times that are already blocked.
  
  In general we prefer a minimum stay of two weeks, possibly longer.
  
  Please note:
  We are not the right place for you
  -if you do not have experience with gardening, agriculture or any other type of physical work
  - if you are just looking for a romantic or esoteric experience "in contact with nature"
  - if you are not able to work and live independently
  - if you are just looking for a no cost holiday with fullboard
  - if you expect from us to cook for you according to your "food preferences or allergies". Vegetarian food is no problem for us but we can and will not cater for other extra demands!

  We look forward to hosting people from all over the world to share our life in the countryside and to exchange experiences. We are an agritourism and run a small farm, mainly growing olive trees for olive oil. From April to November we rent out holiday apartments and organize courses and activities for our guests. You can learn about gardening and making olive oil as well as interact with our family and our guests from all over the world. We are curiuos to learn from you whatever you can offer.

  We need help with gardening like watering plants in summer, general maintenance like cleaning of the swimming pool and eventually small building works and some cleaning of holiday apartments.

  We can offer an independent apartment for 1 to 2 persons with double bedroom, kitchen and bathroom for lodging.

  Please be aware that our place is in the middle of the countryside, at 4 km distance from the next village Castel Rigone, i.e. one hour walking distance.
  Therefore we strongly advise our place only for those who can arrive in their own car in order to be flexible.
  There is no public transport in the vicinity.
