  Description

  We’re looking for 2 friends or a couple to help in our small guesthouse.
  
  The help includes maximum 30 hours of work pr week with free accommodation at your own private 1st floor with private bedroom, private bathroom, private kitchen and big private terrace+ free breakfast & lunch + 750€ salary pr person. (For comparison, the minimum wage for a 30 hour job in Portugal is 652€ without accommodation)
  
  The guesthouse consists of 5 guestrooms (private bed/bathroom/terrace, 2 adults each so max 10 guests, possible plus 2 kids occasionally) and a shared living room/kitchen and pool area + garden outside. The top floor is your own private area. Daily work mostly consists of preparing, serving and cleaning up breakfast, preparing breakfasts for the next day and interacting with guests (check-ins/outs & a bit of socializing in the morning). Other services like cleaning, laundry, food delivery, gardening, pool service and maintenance are handled by others though you may need to double check or prepare. In a typical day, you work in the early morning, have the afternoon/evening off to relax, with additional ~5-8 check-ins per week in the afternoon. The work can be divided between the 2 of you in a way that makes sense for you.
  
  Specific tasks:
  - Preparing breakfast day before: takes ~ 2.5 hours. We have a weekly schedule with 2 changing daily breakfast specials, and breakfast basics to provide every day.
  - Preparing/serving breakfast in the morning: 6:30-8:00, then 8:00-10:00 going downstairs occasionally to say good morning / small-talk to guests, and check/refill the buffet during breakfast service.
  - Cleaning up kitchen afterwards / occasional mid-stay clean of rooms / check-outs: in total around 1 hour (10:00 - 11:00).
  - Check-ins: 5-8 per week (guests can arrive 4-9pm, precise arrival time to check day before via text, and takes about 15 minutes per check-in). A check-in consists of a quick tour of the house, pool area, bit of social introductions and explaining basics of the guesthouse.
  - Throwing out thrash. 2x per week 30 minutes
  - Once per week drive to the supermarket for specific foods: ~1 hour.
  - Managing weekly services provided by other personnel: cleaning, laundry, food delivery, gardening & pool cleaning.
  
  We provide accommodation (top floor of the guesthouse (private), consisting of bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and a large terrace), and can provide a car if needed at cost (~150 per month).
  The compensation will be 750 euros per person per month, as well as a bonus for each 5 star review. There are always plenty of breakfast leftovers or ingredients for your own breakfast/lunch, so the only real cost you have is dinner. In addition, we can pay you extra if you are interested in for example cleaning a room after check-out.
  
  The most important part of the job is to provide a great breakfast both in flavor and presentation, and to serve our guests with a smile to make sure they have a great experience. With good team work and weekly schedule of tasks it should not be more than 30 hours per person. Plenty of time to enjoy the local nature, towns, beaches, surf etc.

  We are looking for a couple or 2 friends that can help us run the daily operations of our Guesthouse for the 2026 season: within April-October for min. 2-3 months, or long term if possible. We provide on-site accommodation, breakfast+lunch and also a monthly salary. The work will be around 30 hours per week for each person (plenty of free time to enjoy the beautiful area, surf etc), consisting of making and serving breakfast, checking guests in/out and generally giving our guests a great experience.
  
  We are looking for 2 people who together have:
  - Hospitality experience, generally great social skills.
  - Culinary skills for breakfast dishes.
  - Fluency in English
  - A great fit with us and ability to work and live together smoothly.
