  We are looking for a skilled and hands-on all-rounder to support us on our organic farm! Minimum age around 25

  Our farm is a place where people, animals, and plants live together. We are a small and diverse community, currently with people aged between 22 and 67, and we really value an open, respectful way of living together. Everything we produce here comes from organic agriculture and forestry, as well as from our own animals and the cultivation of vegetables, fruits, and herbs. We only use these products for ourselves – nothing is sold. Food is an important part of our daily life: we eat together and are happy if you’d like to join in cooking from time to time and share your ideas with us.
  
  The farm is located only about 15 minutes by car from Zurich and is also easily reachable by public transport. Even so, being up here on Bemer Berg feels very rural – with fresh air, lots of peace and quiet, and on clear days a beautiful view of the Alps.
  
  The farm is a family-run place and is now led in its fourth generation by Geronimo, together with his partner Cynthia. We have both travelled a lot and have lived and worked as Workawayers ourselves, so we know what this kind of exchange is about. Now we’re happy to open up our place and give something back through our sustainable project. We are open-minded, social, and close to nature, and we enjoy music, yoga, and spending time together. At the moment, four other adults also live on the farm.
  
  Our daily life includes animals as well: cows, horses, goats, sheep, and chickens. They are an important part of the farm and are treated with respect and kept in a species-appropriate way. Their food is 100% organic. Besides eggs and meat, they mainly provide valuable manure for the garden. We also breed American Morgan Horses, but this is not part of the tasks for Workawayers.
  
  We are looking for two to three Workawayers who really fit in with us and would like to stay for a longer period of time. Long-term stays are clearly preferred, with a minimum of six weeks. Ideally, you are an all-rounder and already have some experience with farm or garden work – especially support in the garden is very welcome at the moment. If you’re still learning, that’s absolutely fine too. What matters most is that you’re motivated, curious, and happy to be part of our community.
  
  For those travelling with their own home on wheels: We also offer space for one or two caravans, vans, or tiny houses. A parking spot is available on the farm – just let us know and we can talk about the details.

  Unser Hof ist ein Ort, an dem Menschen, Tiere und Pflanzen gemeinsam leben. Wir sind eine bunte Gemeinschaft von aktuell Menschen zwischen 22 und 67 Jahren und legen viel Wert auf ein respektvolles, offenes Miteinander. Alles, was wir hier erwirtschaften, stammt aus biologischer Land- und Forstwirtschaft sowie aus unserer eigenen Tierhaltung und dem Anbau von Gemüse, Obst und Kräutern. Unsere Produkte nutzen wir ausschließlich für uns selbst – wir verkaufen nichts. Essen spielt bei uns eine große Rolle: Wir essen gemeinsam und freuen uns, wenn auch du Lust hast, ab und zu mit uns zu kochen und deine Ideen einzubringen.
  
  Der Hof liegt nur etwa 15 Minuten von Zürich entfernt und ist auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Trotzdem fühlt es sich hier oben auf dem Bemer Berg sehr nach Land an – mit frischer Luft, Ruhe und bei gutem Wetter Blick auf die Alpen.
  
  Der Hof wird als Familienbetrieb in vierter Generation von Geronimo geführt, gemeinsam mit seiner Partnerin Cynthia. Wir beide sind viel gereist, haben selbst als Workawayer gelebt und gearbeitet und wissen daher gut, was es bedeutet, Teil eines solchen Austauschs zu sein. Jetzt freuen wir uns, diesen Ort zu öffnen und etwas zurückzugeben. Wir sind weltoffen, gesellig und naturverbunden, mögen Musik, Yoga und das Zusammensein mit anderen Menschen. Zusätzlich leben aktuell noch vier weitere Erwachsene auf dem Hof.
  
  Zu unserem Hofleben gehören auch Tiere: Kühe, Pferde, Ziegen, Schafe und Hühner. Sie sind ein fester Teil unseres Alltags und werden artgerecht und mit Respekt gehalten. Ihre Fütterung ist zu 100 % biologisch. Die Tiere liefern uns neben Eiern und Fleisch vor allem auch wertvollen Dünger für den Garten. Außerdem züchten wir American Morgan Horses – das gehört aber nicht zu deinen Aufgaben als Workawayer.
  
  Wir suchen zwei bis drei Workawayer, die wirklich zu uns passen und idealerweise länger bleiben möchten. Langzeitaufenthalte sind uns sehr wichtig, das Minimum liegt bei sechs Wochen. Besonders freuen wir uns über Allrounder, die schon ein bisschen Erfahrung mit Hof- oder Gartenarbeit haben – vor allem Unterstützung im Garten ist gerade sehr willkommen. Wenn du noch nicht alles kannst, ist das kein Problem: Wichtig ist vor allem, dass du Lust hast zu lernen, mit anzupacken und Teil unserer Gemeinschaft zu sein.
  
  Für alle, die mit eigenem Zuhause auf Rädern unterwegs sind: Bei uns gibt es auch die Möglichkeit, ein bis zwei Wohnwagen, Vans oder Tiny Houses auf dem Hof abzustellen. Ein Stellplatz ist vorhanden – sprich uns dazu einfach an.

  Aide

  Individual skills can be promoted on the farm by using their talents in a targeted manner. We would like support in the garden or in the greenhouse when sowing, planting, weeding or harvesting fruit and vegetables. You can also help us on the construction site of a barn. We build everything ourselves, so you can learn a lot here about how a house is made. We would also be happy if you help us feed or muck out the animals.
  
  Auf dem Hof können individuelle Fähigkeiten gefördert werden, indem dessen Talente gezielt eingesetzt werden.
  
  Wir wünschen uns Unterstützung im Garten oder im Gewächshaus beim Säen, Pflanzen, Jäten oder Ernten von Obst und Gemüse. Außerdem kannst du uns auf der Baustelle einer Scheune helfen. Wir bauen alles selbst, sodass du hier viel lernen kannst, wie ein Haus entsteht. Auch freuen wir uns, wenn du uns beim Füttern oder Misten der Tiere unterstützt.

  Hébergement

  There are various accommodation options on our farm, which vary depending on the season. The appropriate accommodation will be selected in consultation with the farm owner. You have your own little empire. Other helpers also live here, so you can have a great time. In the laundry house there is a shower (warm 🌞), as well as a washing machine and toilets. The kitchen serves as a lounge and can also be used for cooking in the evenings and all day on weekends. From Monday to Friday it is reserved for the kitchen manager during the day, so that breakfast and lunch are taken care of. It is always freshly cooked with our own products. You can arrange your own dinner.
  
  Auf unserem Hof gibt es diverse Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten, die je nach Saison variieren. Mit Absprache des Hofeigentümers wird die passende Unterkunft gewählt. Du hast dein eigenes kleines Reich. Hier leben auch andere Helfer, sodass ihr euch eine schöne Zeit machen könnt. Im Wäschehaus steht eine Dusche (warm 🌞), sowie eine Waschmaschine und Toiletten zur Verfügung.
  
  Die Küche dient als Aufenthaltsraum und kann abends und ganztags am Wochenende auch zum kochen genutzt werden. Montag bis Freitag ist sie tagsüber für die Küchenmanagerin reserviert, sodass für Frühstück und Mittag gesorgt ist. Es wird stets frisch mit eigenen Produkten gekocht. Dein Abendesssen kannst du selbst gestalten.
