There is soon Chrismas.Wintertime is here. It's quiet and nature is sleeping.
The garden is waiting for planting vegetables.
Would you like to spend some days around Christmas and even Christmas on my farm? With 4 dogs. With a big saloon where you can heat .
Walking sometimes with my dogs?Helping around and in the house and in the garden? And making Chrismas biscuits?
Biodiversity in nature and around the farm is awesome.
In November Dezember it's starts raining.
Bring with you a warm and special rain jumper , good shoes , also to change when they get wet . Also clothes for warm weather.
If you like nature , now all is green.. You find in our valley nice possibilities for walking and jogging.
My farm near the beaches Salema and Boca do Rio( southwest of the Algarve),
There is also a parking place for a campervan and you can use a bicycle for to go to the beach or the village.
I edited 2013 a book about biodiversity in this area- for the identification of the fauna and flora around us.
Landscape: Hills with hedges and trees. I try to protect different habitats for wild animals. The beach Boca do Rio is 15 min away.
The food is vegetarian , enriched with the vegetables from my garden and the Bio market in Lagos.
You should have knowledge for cooking simple meals( only for dinner and weekend).
For water protection : degradable toilet articles( shampoo, tooth creme, soap). Now there is enough water for all🤩.
Also warm water shower.
Rooms: An independant double room
for 1-2 people.
Saturday and Sunday. Free time . But own alimentation.
Free internet in the whole house.
The Supermarket Intermarché , the post office , and a little medical center you find in Budens.
You should have a health insurance.

The little village Budens is lovely and people are very kind. Portuguese culture.

Normaly we are working from 7.30 am to 12.00 am, in the winter later. In summer the volunteers help first with my dogs to the beach! It's a good start in the day.The type of skills is changing often for not to feel over charged. Helper with knowledge about machines and experience with physical tasks are very welcome.

The farmhouse: very big, with a big terrace. Enough space that everybody can make his life!

The helper(s) should stay and help on the Quinta 1- 4 weeks ( Mo-Fri). It' s important for me that they accept the rules of the house( for instante not to spend to much water in summer, not to take every day showers) , that they work with concentration and that they like a little bit to cook.

took responsability for all I couldn't do myself. My dogs loved
them. They resolved a lot of problems on my farm and I could

We stayed three weeks in therese's house. One of the best host we've had! An adorable woman, with very endearing dogs. We laughed a lot and shared some very good times. The Algarve is a beautiful area if you like nature, hiking and the beach! Thank you again Therese for this wonderful stay that will remain etched in our memory.

Absolutely loved my two weeks with Therese on the farm. The work was varied and the place was so lovely, quiet and peaceful, a great place to be based and take a step back from the busyness for a time during my travels. The garden produced such brilliant organic produce which was always incorporated in the meals which were also always delicious.
