  Description

  Hello,
  We are a croatian-english couple that decided to replace english countryside with croatian countryside but in english style. On the top of the hill surrounded with nature, stunning views, a stream and valleys, we are the only residents. We have been renovating a house, part of the woodshed and overall working on maintaining large fields, orchids, gardens and spending time with our animals. We have 4+1 cats (Jane, Cvita, Joško, Nero and a wannabe our cat stray Pablo) and a welsh border collie Rollo who will teach you how to throw a frisbee. We are hoping to create a paradise that will be able to host more likeminded people, connected to nature. Currently we are open on app park4night where we give campers a safe place to park.

  As we are quite remote, you will be able to enjoy nature in its purest form, go for long walks, visit hidden gems and experience a different side of Croatia, away from the tourism and crowds. My husband is a tradesman, doing electricity, plumbing with a special passion in working with wood, so you will find a lot of different tools if you want to have a go at building something. We have a border collie that is very active and loves walks so you can spend your time learning to work with dogs. Or just overall disconnect from the real world and live in a nature paradise for a while.
  We are 50 min by car away from the beach so you can enjoy hot summer days there too or visiting the capital, Plitvice lakes and much more.

  Aide

  We are mostly looking for garden and house renovation help. We are planning to plant a lot of hedges, bushes and trees, we are also preparing to erect a fence so we need pole preparation and soil preparation. We are creating chicken place and outdoor run, as well as clearing woodshed, preparing for other animals, cutting grass, pruning trees and other spring/summer farm jobs. We are preparing vegetable garden, creating firepit etc. We are working in renovating one floor of the house, so any help with building, tidying up etc.

  Hébergement

  We have a few different options.
  1.For one traveller or a couple we can offer a room in our apartment with full amenities.
  
  2.We have spaces for campervans ready if this is you way of travelling as we have been accepting campervans, usually self-sufficient but we do have an option to use bathroom and shower as well as small kitchen.
  
  We can arrange food together, and there is availability of car use to a local shop in exchange and maybe visit local places.

  Autres infos...

  Regarding hours per week, it is very flexible and often weather dependent. For example, mornings can be quite wet so cutting grass has to be later in the day when grass is dry. If days are hot, watering garden is usually in the evening. Also, if days are hot, we have lunch-afternoon siesta as it is not good to be outside. Make sure you are aware that any bigger shops/places are around 45 min to 1h driving distance, there is one cafe and a local shop around 15 min walk. And not much else is happening here, it is really just nature and farm oriented. There is a train station in the village that can take you to Rijeka and the coast, in about 2h.
