  Description

  Hey guys, we are a small family (Dubravka, Ervin, baby Julius and our cat Puma) living in a small village near the city of Umag, Croatia. As nature lovers, we appreciate the calm and all things simple, following a natural flow.
  Our house is located just a kilometer away from the nearest beach and even less from numerous nature trails and pine forest. Just the smell of the sea and sap of pine trees make every walk enchanting. And with numerous beaches and the tourist season slowly fading, taking a dip in the clear blue sea feels like the best therapy.
  If you are more of an adventurous type, we are happy to lend bikes. Cycling trails are everywhere around including the famous "Parenzana" trail, a former railroad which is a minute away from our place. Istria offers so much culturally and has a rich heritage, from medieval villages on hilltops, charming old towns on the coast, vineyards and olive groves in the countryside - the scents, tastes and experiences are vast. Pick your own! :)
  We are so thankful to be living here and to share it with people like you in exchange for some work is a pleasure for us.
  Basically, we need help with various simple tasks around the family house. The house is quite big and there's some spaces that need to be taken care of. Since Julius was born 10months ago, our time with him is precious and we can no longer manage everything like before and therefore your help is hugely appreciated to keep pushing forward.

  We are happy to share everything we find exciting about the place we live. As we had a pleasant experience as workawayers in Azores (PT), this time we decided to be on the other side - as hosts. We love to learn from others, from language, experience, skills, food culture and provide what we feel are our strengths. We will be available to our guests during their stay, to support and give help and directions when needed or simply have a pleasant chat. We have some experience with gardening , permaculture and are passionate about plants in general (Ervin in particular). While Dubravka speaks Italian and likes psychology topics. We are open-minded and curious, let's dive in and see where the moment takes us!

  Aide

  We are looking for help with basic tasks anyone can do such as cleaning in and around the house, decluttering, organising, tidying up spaces, garden tasks like weeding, pruning trees and shrubs, mowing, shaping hedges... The place we live in is a part of a large family house ( and ex-pizzeria) with plenty of storage spaces that could be organised better and tidied up. Outside there are hedges all around the house, a parking space surrounded with treeline, lawn, a small garden on the southern side... Nothing too scary, don't worry! :D

  Hébergement

  A separate clean and cozy apartment (45m2) which we rent during the summer just for you to be on your own. A/C, kitchen, bathroom, free wi-fi. Washing machine in a seperate shared space. Food is not included so you cook your own meals - everything you need is there except the ingredients. You can expect a welcome meal from us though :)

  Autres infos...

  Lovely beaches, forests, walking paths and bike trails are all nearby (within 5-15mins on foot). We can lend you bikes for adventures and offer directions and suggestions for your free time. A car can be shared by prior agreement. You can also hop in with us for a grocery run. We like silent surroundings so parties and loud music are not allowed in the apartment.
