Description
We are a non-profit association whose goal is the protection of animals of all species as well as the defense of their rights in Greece.
Our association was created in 2016 as a result of a trip to Greece that lasted many months. The amount of abandoned, injured, and dead animals that can be found on the side of the road of cities or towns is what motivated us the most. The idea for our association was born with the main goal of helping as many animals as possible.
today, the association is building a shelter to finally welcome the animals that need a safe place.
We need your help to create this wonderful place.... from scratch.
The land is 24 000sq meters and offers so many opportunities.

Even before this project, we always loved working in an autonomous way where everybody learn from each other. No one has to prove anything to others and knowledge comes every day by listening and looking to another being that already knows. We have a lot to learn from others as much as me have a lot to share with you.
We love DIY, cooking vegan, and being active for the animals in many ways.

Our next goals are:
cleaning the land from the dead trees, the result of the fire that destroyed the area 3 years ago.
Removing the rocks from the land to prepare the space for the veggies, trees, and animals. The rocks will be used to build infrastructure.
Fencing part of the land to welcome the 1st non-human residents.
Building DIY infrastructures such as a better cooking place, pergola, storage place, and living place for non-human animals, ...
making a permaculture design of the land
Planting trees in the winter season.

Hébergement
For the moment, we can only accept people camping or with their accommodated vehicles.
We have compost toilets, an outside shower, and a kitchen.
The accommodations are very basic and will evolve every month.
Concerning electricity, we have a generator and solar panels on our van.
We can provide tents, and sleeping accommodations such as matress, sheets, pillow for the people that don't have anything with them.

We offer 3 vegan meal / day and non alcohol drinks.
For more fancy food between meals, we have a collective donation box.

Here, at the Shelter, we want to create a safe space for animals and humans.
We do not support the idea that animals are food or products to be bred, slaughtered, and consumed for profit or used for any purpose.
We have zero tolerance for oppression in all its insidious forms. Examples of oppression, which are not exhaustive by any means, include aggressive language and aggressive acts. Language and deeds deemed sexist, racist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, or speciesist.
The shelter is a human-vegan space and you will be expected to eat only vegan food during your stay.
The shelter is an alcohol & drug-free space in order to respect the humans who are fighting their addiction.
The shelter is close to Nafpaktos city.
