  Hello!
  
  I live in a small rural village called Detupau, high in the beautiful mountains of Flores. We are surrounded by amazing nature and have a friendly welcoming community within the village who would love to meet people from around the world.
  
  I live with my family in the village, where you can stay and become part of the family. I am a teacher for the children in the village and have opened a school called the Reading Garden. I would love volunteers to come and help teach the children English or play games and teach them of your own culture.
  
  In exchange, I can offer you a unique cultural experience in a rural village where you can eat local food, learn how we make arak (wine) and bathe in the river! We would love to host you! :)

  We can share our traditional practices such as sharing family meals, bathing in the river, making arak, seeing the local coffee plantations and learning how we produce local coffee. Our village is very friendly and would love to meet more people from around the world! You Will become a part of our family :) we would love to learn English in return or learn different skills you may have

  Aide

  We are a remote village that doesn't have any tourism so we would like volunteers to come to exchange cultures, teach the children, and help with the development of the school. If you have any other ideas of how you can help our community development, we would love your advice! We have school classes in the morning and fun activities with the student in the afternoon. In your free time, you can spend time with the people in the village and we can show you the local area such as Kelimutu lakes which are nearby!

  Hébergement

  You will stay with a local family in a cozy bedroom and be able to use all the amenities of the house. It can get quite cold at night sometimes, so bring warm clothes, but we can provide traditional sarongs to keep you warm!
  For meals, you can adjust to the local meal times and enjoy what it is with togetherness.

  If there is anything else you want to do in your free time, or places you want to visit, we can take you there. We can also pick you up from the nearest local town, Moni. We look forward to meeting you!
