We are welcoming you to join us in Xul-Ha. Xul-Ha is a little town some minutes from Bacalar in the last Caribbean corner of Mexico close to the border with Belize. The town where the famous lagoon of Bacalar with its 7 tones of blue has its source. Situated next to the Mayan jungle.

We would like to ask you to share what you love doing with the kids. We have a lot of gratitude for your presence, seeing this is an equal exchange of knowledge and experience, open to your ideas, listening to your personal needs and learning goals.

We would like you to ask yourself the following question, how deep does my belief go when talking about imagining a different future? As here our main resource in developing this project is faith and belief.
This needs to be understood before participating on this journey, the frequency of limiting beliefs has the power to hold us back, faith moves us forward. In this beautiful journey of unlearning the toxic beliefs we have been fueled with throughout our lives, we help each other in the healing process.

We take more than enough free time to clear our minds at the lagoon, prepare delicious meals together, dance, play with the kids and animals, walks in nature and explore all the magic the Caribbean landscapes and Mexican culture has to offer.

The cultural exchange we offer is mainly found within bio construction at this moment. The architecture of the Cabañas we are building are a fusion of different influences where bio construction functions as the foundation and Mayan construction strategies are key. You don’t need any experience to be of help, we will guide you through the process and explain each step that is taken. On the planning for the coming weeks we have the construction of a compost system, compost toilet and outdoor shower, again all created with bio construction techniques. If this is something you would be interested in learning we can take you along in the building process. Although we speak fluently English, Spanish is spoken with the kids and local people involved in the project, an opportunity for you to improve your language skills if interested. As explained before we are engaged in a research project investigating new ways to approach education and how artistic expression is key in developing new ways of understanding the world around us and imaging different futures. If this is a topic you would like to explore we are happy to share our thoughts, knowledge and experiences and continue the conversation together.

The following topics are not our priority for this month in terms of doing physical tasks on them , though they are a big topic of conversation and research. If interested, we can exchange our knowledge and ideas.

We have a beautiful yet still empty store space that will function as a gallery, cafe as well as a place to sell art, and ingredients from the land, for now, we need help in preparing the concept and the kitchen here.

In this moment we have 3 tents to offer with bedding, an open kitchen and bathroom, though soon the Cabañas are finished for you to stay.
