Description
I'm Guido, I'm originally from Palermo but I've travelled and lived in different parts of the world. Back in 2017 I've met Livia and since then I've settled down in Catania (although my work-station is in Rome).
I've always been curious to discover the rest of the world, therefore I've been using CouchSurfing since I'm 18 and I've been hosting/hosted hundreds of time. I speak fluently English, French and Spanish, some Portuguese and a tiny little bit of German.
Livia is the "local", having lived in Catania for all her life. She's a Medical Doctor but also a loving mom, an excellent cook and a skillful handywoman.
Our 2 daughters, Sveva (6yy) and Giada (5yy), are quite different from each other. Sveva is a smart, responsible, respectful little kid, a bit shy at the beginning but easy to interact with, even for non-italian speakers. Giada is an emotional tornado, a really talkative and playful kid, a tiny bit difficult to handle at times :D -

We're a friendly, easy-going family willing to inolve someone on our daily life. We can offer a mediterranean kind of hospitality and provide useful tips about Sicily and its culture. We're open to share our social network and teach some italian.

We're looking for a girl/lady (sorry, no space for couples and no men) to support us with our two daughters and with housekeeping chores.
Our preference goes to someone who has previous experience with children, and who has previously lived on her own. -

UPDATE FOR SUMMER
In JULY we'll spend our weekends in my family's summer house in the nearby of Cefalù. You are welcome to come along or go for a trip on your own to discover Sicily (we can't let you stay alone in Catania while we're away).
In AUGUST: 1-9 Dolomites (no availability); 12-22 Cefalù (PA), 23-30 Avola (SR) availability for workawayers
GENERAL INFORMATION
Our apartment is located 5 kms away from the city centre and we can provide a private bathroom and some space in our garage.
According to your preference, we might provide the meals we're having or allowing you to use the kitchen to prepare your own food.
We do have unlimited internet access, one long balcony and a spacious internal terrace. -
