Description
We are a not for profit project in a coastal town in Morocco. We work with orphanages and disadvantaged young people to teach them how to surf. We believe that surfing teaches great life skills, brings positivity and joy, and is a powerful tool for combatting the effects of trauma . Our surf instructors are local instructors who act as mentors to the younger children new to the sport, and we are committed to creating employment opportunities within the local community. Our workawayer will be working from one of our bases in Switzerland or Morocco researching grant applications and funding opportunities.

Travellers will have regular contact with locals who will guide them to the best spots in town. Accommodation is perfectly located in the middle of the city, near lake Geneva and a beautiful park, mountains accessible by public transport. Travellers will enjoy the best of a European summer in an idylic location!

Hébergement
Our workawayer will have their own private apartment ( we understand that you will need quiet and good internet connection for this particular task, and have endeavoured to make you as comfortable as possible!). The apartment is fully operational (hot shower, tv and internet). A short walk from the supermarket, lake and other beautiful Geneva locations. Mountains accessible by public transport. Someone will stock the apartment once a week with food essentials.

Essaouira is an amazing UNESCO world heritage listed town. It is beside the ocean and has a very laid back atmosphere. There are wonderful cafes and restaurants, and is a great place to just wander around and absorb the culture and life! Geneva is also an incredible city, in the heart of Europe with beautiful hike nearby and of course the stunning lake!
