Description
Here, we believe traveling is all about connection and shared moments. As a Workawayer, you’ll become part of a vibrant community whereyour presence brings warmth and energy to everything we do.
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do; from organizing fun social activities, cooking delicious family dinners, and hosting events like Drink & Draw or Meet & Drink, to helping with breakfast and light kitchen duties. Your energy helps create the warm, welcoming atmosphere our guests love.
In exchange for your support, we offer a friendly environment where you’ll feel right at home. Our team is flexible, supportive, and happy to accommodate your needs while you’re with us — we want this to be a great experience for you too!
If you're sociable, proactive, and excited to be part of something meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.
We also love offering yoga classes, so if you're a Yoga Teacher we'd love to collaborate with you as well.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We welcome volunteers from all around the world, along with our friendly local staff, creating the perfect environment for cultural and language exchange and friendships that can last a lifetime. Our location in the heart of the city, just a few blocks from Paseo de Montejo and its many museums and historic landmarks, makes it an ideal place to immerse yourself in Yucatán’s rich culture and history

We organize daily activities that bring travelers together and create a welcoming, social vibe:
DRINK & DRAW: You're in charge of setting the space, welcoming guests, handing out supplies, and helping keep the mood fun and relaxed
FAMILY DINNER: We host family-style dinner, where volunteers will take turns to cook, serve and clean up. On Friday's we switch it up a little bit by doing Taco Night
MEET & DRINK: You'll be setting up the space, introduce guests to each other, start conversations, and keep the energy flowing.
The morning shift consists of:
BREAKFAST & KITCHEN: You’ll assist in setting up and tidying the breakfast area, refilling supplies, washing dishes and making sure everything stays clean and welcoming.
MAKING BEDS & LIGHT HOUSE KEEPING: Keeping the dorms tidy and making beds. It’s not heavy cleaning, just basic upkeep to make sure everything is cozy and guest-ready.

We’re located in Merida’s Culinary Corridor: hub of culture, art, entertainment, and, of course, good food, as Oliva, Micaela Mar and Leña and 130 grados are some of the best restaurant in the city. There’s also a great variety of coffee shopssuch as Marmalade 47, Baretto and Alma Piedra. Bars like El Catrin, El Cuarto de Tula, La Mezcaleria and “Cantinas (bars with live atmosphere and free Yucatecan appetizers)” like El Lucero del Alba, La Negrita or Eladios.
Next to our hostel is the Parque La Plancha which has become an emblematic spot in the city because of its beautiful lake, the running trails, outdoor gym and food court. We’re also a few minutes away from the Plaza Grande, the central square surrounded by museums, where you can also see the traditional Vaquerías and the Pok Ta Pok (Mayan ball game), the Catedral de San Idelfonso, one of the oldest cathedrals in America, Paseo de Montejo, a grand boulevard with elegant mansions, monuments, museums and art galleries, Santa Lucía Park, a shaded square with traditional Yucatecan Serenades and the Santa Ana market, where you can try the local cuisine and more Yucatecan specialties.
In your free time it is also an excellent option to visit the multiple Cenotes, mayan ruins, magical towns and beautiful beaches such as Homún, Progreso, Izamal, Valladolid, Motul, Celestún, Cuzamá, Hunucmá and way more.Informations complémentaires
