Description
I am a dynamic guy from Panama city who likes to be active with a true passion for the ocean and traveling. I have been living in Bocas for 4 years now and it´s been more than one year that I am running my Bed and Breakfast at Isla Colon on the beautiful archipelago of Bocas del Toro. I like to keep a friendly, helpful and professional atmosphere at my B&B which is calm and relaxing with a couple of rooms to take care of.

Here in Bocas del Toro you will experience a lot about the Central American Culture, working at a hotel, the life on a Caribbean Island as well as the Spanish language. It is a very welcoming place with a lot of tourists, so you will also get in touch with a lot of people and cultures from all over the world. Bocas del Toro is famous for its surfing places and beaches and you can go snorkeling, diving and hiking on the islands.
Aide
We need basic help with the reception like Check-Ins and Check-Outs, taking care of bookings and reservations as well as giving information to the guests. Most importantly, we like to make them feel welcome and create a nice atmosphere, therefore it is preferred that somebody is always present during the day. Usually we work in two shifts a day: a morning and an evening shift. Besides that, we will ask you for tasks like maintaining the place, taking care of the laundry, painting or some light gardening.
Spanish and English are required. As we have a lot of English speaking guests (75% of them) your language level has to be rather high. In addition, at least basic Spanish is necessary for the communication with locals and also with our local staff.
You need to know how to use the computer, as we use a synchronized system for our bookings and reservations.

Hébergement
We offer you a double bed in a shared room next to the reception, a little isolated from the guests´ rooms. You are welcome to eat breakfast (cereals, fruits, coffee) and do your laundry during your stay here. Sometimes we also provide meals together and spend the evening with good music.

You can go an explore Isla Colon and its beaches (Starfish, Boca del Drago, Bluff, Paunch, Bird Island), Bastimentos Island (Red frog beach, Wizard, Basti town), Isla Solarte, Cayo Coral, Cayo Zapatilla, more islands that are around, or exploring the destinations that are close as Puerto Viejo (Costa Rica), Boquete and other destinations.

Jorge prefers someone who can stay for a longer time, so I was really glad I was allowed to stay only for a short term. But I wish I could have stayed longer. I loved this b&b!
