  Description

  I live with my English speaking 5-year-old daughter in a peaceful countryside area of Istanbul, 20 minutes to Istanbul Airport and 20 minutes to the city center by subway. Our home is surrounded by nature, yet close to all the cultural and historical highlights that Istanbul has to offer. We enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring nature, doing creative projects, and learning new things together.
  
  I am looking for a female Workawayer who is interested in house sitting and childcare, and ideally has interest or experience in those. Your role would focus on supporting my daughter’s growth through creative play, sports, music, arts, English language practice, and gently teaching daily life skills that help her gain independence and confidence. She is curious and friendly, so we are excited to welcome someone who enjoys working with children and sharing new skills.
  
  It is also important to us to have someone who enjoys cooking and can help with cleaning and maintaining a tidy home. If you also like gardening, we have a small garden where light help is welcome. In return, we offer a warm, family-friendly environment where you can experience authentic Turkish culture, try homemade meals, and explore the beautiful mix of nature and city life that makes Istanbul so unique.

  Staying with us means being part of a small, warm, and creative family environment surrounded by nature, yet only 20 minutes from Istanbul’s vibrant city center. You will experience daily life from a local perspective: enjoying fresh air, exploring nearby forests and green spaces, and discovering Turkish culture.
  
  We enjoy sharing homemade meals. If you are interested, I would be happy to teach you how to prepare traditional Turkish dishes, from simple everyday meals to family favorites. In exchange, we would love to taste your favorite recipes from your own culture.
  
  We hope to learn from your culture, and experiences, and give our daughter the chance to grow up with an open and global perspective. We also value any skills and knowledge you would like to share with us, whether related to teaching, art, music, sports, occupational therapy, cooking, cleaning, gardening or simply your unique way of life.

  Aide

  We are looking for a kind, responsible and creative Workawayer who loves spending time with children and enjoys cooking. Your main focus will be house sitting and to engage with my 5-year-old daughter through age-appropriate learning and fun activities such as sports, arts & crafts, outdoor play, music, and basic English language practice.
  
  A special interest in teaching self-care skills or a background in child development, psychology, music, art, sports or occupational therapy (ergotherapy) is a big plus. These skills will help her grow more independent and confident in everyday life.
  
  Daily tasks may include preparing healthy meals for our small family, organizing creative play sessions, reading together, helping her explore the world and assisting with housework. We welcome your own skills and hobbies — whether that’s teaching, storytelling, music, dance, sports, cooking, or practical life skills — and encourage you to share them with us.
  
  This is also an opportunity for cultural exchange: we can share our language, cuisine, and traditions, while learning from your culture and educational approach. We value mutual learning, kindness, and creativity in our home.

  Hébergement

  You will have a private bedroom with a clean bed, fresh bedding, a study desk and a private bathroom next to your bedroom in a large detached house where I live alone with my daughter. Our home is in a secure residential compound with 24/7 security and surrounded by greenery including our own garden. There is a free shuttle service three times a day to the nearest subway station, making access to Istanbul city center quick and easy.
  
  We share common areas such as the kitchen and living room. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, and there are plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy nature.
  
  For meals, we usually cook at home and enjoy healthy, home-prepared food together. I am happy to teach you simple and traditional Turkish recipes if you’d like, and we also welcome your favorite dishes from your culture. If you love cooking, you’ll have plenty of freedom to be creative in the kitchen!

  Our home is located in a peaceful, nature-friendly area with easy access to Istanbul city center (just 20 minutes by subway, with three daily shuttles from our residential compound). On your days off, you can enjoy beautiful nature walks, nearby forests, or take short trips to explore Istanbul’s historical sites, museums, and vibrant cultural life.
  
  We only accept non-smokers and kindly ask you to respect our smoke-free home and environment. Quiet hours are appreciated at night, as we like to maintain a peaceful space for rest and relaxation.
  
  We value open communication, kindness, and mutual respect. If you enjoy cooking, cleaning, gardening, or sharing your own cultural recipes, you’re welcome to be creative in the kitchen and garden.
