    Description

Come volunteer at our beautiful hotel 1 minute walk to the palm tree lined beach of Dominical, on the Southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Dominical is a bustling beach town with 2 yoga studios, a brewery, art shops, a farmers market every Friday, holistic events, nice hikes, waterfalls, learn to surf and meet our lovely guests who come from all over the world!

We are a 5 minute walk to the center of town which has a wide variety of restaurants, surf shops, night life, several supermarkets, an organic grocery store. Dominical is a mix of foreigners & locals so you get to experience authentic Costa Rican life all the while having an eclectic bustling town.

Our hotel has 14 rooms and a large tropical garden full of trees, birds, toucans and sitting/eating areas. Our communal kitchen area is great for meeting other travelers, playing games, sharing tips, relaxing and enjoying your own cooked food.

Our small hotel makes for an attractive place for people to volunteer not only because the setting & location is amazing but we have a laid back, culturally rich, happy environment.

We are looking for a receptionist-like position, so you need to be helpful, friendly, chatty is good and presentable. It's easy and fun work and you have ample time to do your own things during the slow hours so if you are a nomad traveler you can also do your online job, knit, paint, study Spanish or studies etc. We have fiber optic cable WiFi so our connect is great for you!
We a prefer a 2 month (longer term) commitment please. You don't have to speak Spanish but it's a plus but fluent English a requirement as we have so many international travelers.
If you want to stay a while in a place to understand the culture, and actually Live in an area, not just pass though, joining our permanent staff of 3, and meet other WorkAwayers from all over the world, this could be a nice opportunity for you! Pura Vida!

Volunteers should be honest, reliable, trustworthy, helpful and friendly. Personal responsibility & good communication are important.
Helping us provide friendly reception service to our guests is important to us; checking/out guests and providing information about our area. It's easy as we have an Activity Book made so you just guide them through, and we have a volunteer handbook to help guide you through.
You can make extra money selling tours and gaining a commission for setting them up! (it can be quite lucrative as it adds up!)

English is required; basic Spanish a plus & other languages are appreciated.
We have 2 cats onsite who are part of our team who appreciate cuddles & food.
We already have a smooth-running hotel without many hiccups so joining our team isn't very complicated. We prefer people who are personally responsible and have good communication please.
