    Description

We would like to welcome you to our farm in Port Alberni. The farm is located in the Alberni Valley, beneath the beautiful Beaufort Mountain Range.

On the 5-acre farm we are raising sheep, rabbits, meat chicken and chickens for eggs. We also grow vegetables and garlic. We have an organic garden, in which we try to grow most of the vegetables and herbs that our family requires.

Originally from Germany (with Czech & German ancestors), Anette and Peter are enjoying our small farm tremendously. Peter’s mom "Babi", also lives on the property besides all our critters.
There is Luna, the Border Collie and Willow, the Maremma livestock guardian dog; Poppy and Fynn are our cats.

We have a large swimming pool and a fire place in the garden that our guests can use. Evenings around the open fireplace are always fun. There is a piano, two guitars and an accordion if you feel like making some music.

Our property is about 1 1/2 km away from the famous Stamp River with opportunities to swim, float-to-town on an inner-tube, hike the Anglers Trail to the waterfalls or go fishing for Salmon, Steelhead or Trout from June to November.

Mount Arrowsmith is a year round wilderness recreation destination located east of Port Alberni. There are numerous trails around the mountain.

The “Wild West Coast” is a 1 1/2 hour drive away and gets you to Long Beach, Tofino or Ucluelet, which are close to some of Canada’s most beautiful National Parks on the Pacific Ocean (Long Beach, Broken Islands, West Coast Trail, and more).

Be aware that our farm is 22km from town. We can arrange for trips to town with one of our vehicles but some pre-planning and organizing will be required, unless of course you bring your own vehicle. There are several bicycles available for your use at anytime.
