  Description

  We are a warm and easy-going French-Peruvian family living in the beautiful beach town of Máncora, on the north coast of Peru.
  
  Our family is made up of Marie (French), Carlos (Peruvian), and our three boys: Elias (11), Leandro (7) and little Valentino (10 months). We also share our home with a friendly dog and a sweet cat.
  
  Life here is relaxed and centered around family, nature and the ocean. Carlos and Elias love surfing, and we enjoy spending time at the beach, discovering the area and sharing simple moments together. At home we speak French, Spanish and English, so there are plenty of opportunities for language exchange.
  
  We chose to raise our children in Máncora because we love its warm climate, laid-back atmosphere and outdoor lifestyle. While the town is famous for surfing, it is also a wonderful place to enjoy beautiful sunsets, wildlife and the Pacific Ocean.
  
  Hosting Workawayers is much more than finding an extra pair of hands for us. We enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing our daily life and creating genuine connections. We hope that whoever stays with us will feel like part of the family, while also having plenty of free time to explore Peru, surf, relax or pursue their own projects.
  
  We are looking for someone who is kind, responsible, enjoys being around children and is happy to join our family life for a while. In return, we offer a welcoming home, a private bedroom, cultural exchange and the chance to experience everyday life in a French-Peruvian family by the sea.

  Staying with us is a chance to experience everyday life in a multicultural French-Peruvian family by the Pacific Ocean.
  
  At home, we speak French, Spanish and English, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to practise languages naturally in everyday conversations. We love sharing our cultures, traditions and favourite recipes, and we're always interested in learning about yours too.
  
  Máncora is a unique place with a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful beaches and warm weather all year round. If you enjoy surfing, Carlos can lend you his longboard. If I'm not using it, you can also borrow my quad bike to get around town.
  
  We'll be happy to recommend the best local beaches, restaurants, markets and places to visit, and if you're interested in working a few extra hours during your stay, we can also help you find local opportunities.
  
  Our goal is for you to feel like part of the family. We hope to create an experience where we all learn from each other, share meals, conversations and everyday life, while respecting everyone's independence and personal time.

  Aide

  We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and is happy to become part of our family routine.
  
  Most of the help involves caring for our youngest son, Valentino (10 months), while we manage the older boys' activities after school. Elias (11) and Leandro (7) are quite independent, but they sometimes enjoy playing games, reading or doing creative activities with our volunteer.
  
  Weekly schedule
  
  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  3:45 pm – 6:15 pm
  
  Mainly helping with Valentino while I am working at the hotel (you'll be in the hotel too)
  Occasionally playing with the older boys or supervising them if needed.
  
  Monday and Thursday (sometimes Friday)
  2:45 pm – 3:45 pm
  
  Helping Elias with his French CNED schoolwork if he needs support. He is quite independent, but it's nice to have someone available to answer questions or encourage him.
  
  The schedule averages around 15 hours per week, leaving plenty of free time to enjoy Máncora, surf, study, work remotely or explore the surrounding area.
  
  We are looking for someone who is:
  
  caring and patient with young children;
  reliable and responsible;
  happy to take initiative and become part of family life;
  ideally comfortable speaking French (to help Elias with his schoolwork), although this is not essential if you're great with children.
  
  From time to time, we may also ask if you are available for an evening babysitting session outside the regular schedule. This is completely optional and is paid at 10 soles per hour.

  We speak French, Spanish and English at home, so language exchange is a natural part of daily life. We'd be happy to help you practise any of these languages while learning about your own culture and language.

  Hébergement

  You'll have your own private bedroom with a 1.5-size bed (cama de 1 plaza y media), offering a comfortable and private space to rest.
  
  The bathroom and common areas are shared, including the kitchen, living room and outdoor spaces. We also have Wi-Fi available in the house.
  
  We are located in Máncora, about 10 minutes from the surf spot by motorbike, which makes it easy to enjoy the beach lifestyle during your free time.
  
  We invite you to share meals with us whenever possible, as we enjoy family moments together, but not all meals are included.
  
  We want you to feel at home while also having your own independence and personal space during your stay.
