  Description

  Hi. We are Chris & Michelle, an early retired English couple now living in the south west of France. We have two super friendly small dogs, brother & sister Maltipoos. Chris is a keen cyclist, while running a small computer support business for the local English speaking community. Michelle likes cycling too, and really likes gardening and vegetable growing.
  Our place is a modern 3 bed detached home with a large secluded garden, on the edge of the local village which has basic amenities. The nearest town will all the shops and services is 10km away. We have an above ground swimming pool to cool off in on the hottest days.
  Our workaway guests will have their own King bed room, their own bathroom, and shared access to everything else in the house, including TV Room, kitchen, terraces and BBQ, cinema room and small gym. We hope to have a lot of interaction with our guests, sharing a lot of time together, to hopefully make new friends in the process.

  We speak English and a little French, so if you are French and speak English, we'd very much love to allocate some of your working time to helping us with our French please! We'd hope to make new friends from this time, and could perhaps help inspire you on how to retire early like us to get the most from life.

  Aide

  We need to do a lot of general maintenance in 2023, and would like two people that come together (doesn't have to be a couple, but you will share a King bed room) to help us with that for 3 weeks, working 25 hours each per week. We don't really mind how you organise the work, as long as you get 150 hours done between you by the end of the 3 weeks.
  We will provide full bed & board including all food and hot & soft drinks. You won't need to cook at all, but if you want to help it will be gratefully received, and the BBQ is available for your use too.
  The work will be painting inside & outside, shutter painting, gate and railings painting, wood treatments, lawn mowing, and hopefully help with the construction of a fire wood store. None of this is skilled work, but we will want the painting to be done well & carefully.
  Ideally you will have your own transport, as during your own time there is so much to explore in our beautiful local countryside, and the Pyrenees mountains which are only 1 hour away.

  Locally there is a lot of opportunity for walking and cycling. Many bars & restaurants within 20 to 30 minutes drive. The biggest attraction is probably the Pyrenees mountains, just 1 hour away.
  Ideally you will have you own transport, as you will have quite a lot of time not working, and will then be able to organise your explorations to suit yourselves.

  I have high speed internet that is 99% reliable. The Wi-Fi extends to all parts of our house, and much of the terraces around the house.

  Espace pour garer des vans

  We have a large drive area, off road and behind a locked gate. It is level. We can hook you up to the our electric, there is a tap close by for fresh water, and we can arrange you being able to empty your toilet waste as long as you are using green fluids. And of course, you retain all access to the house as if you were staying in it.
