  Description

  We are a friendly family with two children (a 4‑year‑old boy and a 7‑year‑old girl), living in Vilafranca del Penedès, a charming town surrounded by vineyards and full of cultural interest. The city has excellent train and bus connections to Barcelona, and we’re also close to beautiful beach cities like Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú.
  Our home has three floors, and the au pair will have a private, independent room. We also have a private garden, plus a shared community garden and swimming pool, perfect for relaxing summer afternoons.
  We previously lived in Sweden for nine years, and both kids were born there.

  You’ll experience a mix of Catalan and Spanish culture while living in Vilafranca del Penedès—a town full of traditions, vineyards, and summer activities. We also bring an international touch from our 9 years in Sweden. You’ll be part of our daily family life, discover local festivals, enjoy easy trips to Barcelona and the coast, and have the chance to practice Spanish or Catalan.

  Aide

  During the summer, we’re looking for someone who can help with childcare, mainly by picking the kids up from summer school and spending time with them—playing at home or enjoying the swimming pool—until we finish work. We would love the au pair to speak English with the children.
  If you enjoy kids, sunshine, and a friendly international environment, we’d be happy to hear from you!

  You will have your own private bedroom in our three‑floor house. The home includes a private garden and access to a shared community garden and swimming pool, perfect for relaxing on summer afternoons. The neighbourhood is quiet and family‑friendly, close to vinyards and to the city center, where train and bus are available. Our bikes can be used as well.
  All food and meals are included. You’re welcome to join our family meals, and you’ll also have full access to the kitchen to prepare anything you like. We enjoy a mix of Mediterranean dishes and international food.

  In your free time, you can enjoy everything the area has to offer. Vilafranca del Penedès is a lively town with cafés, shops, cultural events, and beautiful vineyard landscapes perfect for walking or cycling. Barcelona is very easy to reach—regular trains and buses take you there in about 45–55 minutes—ideal for exploring museums, sightseeing, or meeting other au pairs. The beach towns of Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú are also close by and perfect for relaxing by the sea. Within our community, you can enjoy the swimming pool and garden whenever you like.
  
  We are a relaxed, respectful, and family‑oriented household. We value good communication and a positive atmosphere. We like keeping common areas tidy, and we expect the same from anyone living with us. You’ll have plenty of independence, but we appreciate knowing your general plans, especially if you’ll be away during mealtimes or late in the evening. Friends are welcome to visit during agreed times, and we ask for quiet at night since the kids go to bed early.
