    Description

Welcome to us in beautiful Vikeså!

We are Veronica and Mindor, a couple with a great love for animals and nature. We run a small farm in the scenic surroundings of Vikeså in Bjerkreim and are looking for friendly Workaway guests who would like to be part of our daily life.

On our farm, we have a wonderful group of animals that we spend a lot of time caring for. We have a friendly dog, two curious cats, and a small herd of cattles. Every year, in April/May, it's calving season—a busy but rewarding time. In addition, we have some sheep, and in March/April, it's lambing season, a period full of life, work, and cozy moments with the newborn lambs.Due to these busy times, we would love to get some help

We run a conventional farm with meat production.

We are looking for proactive and hardworking people—those who see what needs to be done and take initiative. It is also a great advantage if you are practical and willing to lend a hand where needed. We expect you to be able to work independently when needed, so please consider whether you have the determination and mindset required for self-driven tasks.

All workawayers must know english on an intermidiate or above level to be able to communicate.

We love spending time outdoors and enjoying the stunning nature around us. Here, you will have the opportunity to experience Norwegian farm life, and take in the breathtaking views of the landscape.

Running a farm in Norway is quite expensive, therefore, we both have fulltime work besides the farm. During calving and lambing season we have 2 months off work (mars/april/may)

Workawayers are not responsible for farming. These tasks require safety experience and documented training. Such work often involve use of tractors, machinery, specialized tools, and extensive knowledge of the animals.
