  Description

  I live in Trevallyn, a hillside suburb of Launceston next to the Cataract Gorge, Launceston's best geographical asset. We live next to a little village, compromising a deli, café, bakery, post office and pharmacy. It's a short 15 minute walk to the City Centre. I live with my fourteen year old daughter and my 11 year old son stays every second week. I travelled a lot in my youth and the children and I travel when we can. We have enjoyed hosting couch surfers over the past few years and many are also on workaway so I've decided to join this community and swap some work for my hosting talents! We have a house we are slowly renovating and a garden that is huge and needs constant TLC. Help! We love having people to stay, hearing their life and travel stories, while understanding that every one is on a different journey and we can all learn from one another.

  I'm looking for people who may want to help in the garden, do some domestics, do some painting, sew some cushions etc. My daughter plays guitar and the drums, my son plays soccer and cricket. He is also learning coding. They both want to learn to sing (my genetics didn't give them a singing voice!). My daughter is learning French. I dabble with learning Spanish. Life is about transactions so let's see what you can offer us and what we can offer you!

  I have a room with a single bed and another mattress for that room for people staying. The bathroom is shared. I will provide food for workaways for the benefit of staying with us and helping with the negotiated work.

  It is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Launceston from our house and there is a bus stop next to our house. We live near the Cataract Gorge and can talk to you about local sights when you are here.
