Description
We are looking for a practical, creative and hands-on Workawayer who enjoys working with tools, machinery, nature and sustainable projects.
Our 2-hectare property is located in the beautiful mountains of Gerês, Northern Portugal, just 5 minutes from a village with shops, cafés and essential services. Surrounded by forests, streams, rock formations and stunning landscapes, it offers a unique opportunity to experience a simple and nature-connected lifestyle.

Who are we?
We are a couple: Isabel is Portuguese and Erik is Dutch. We enjoy sustainable living, creative projects and making the most of life in nature. We love meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing experiences, skills and stories.
Who are we looking for?
Someone versatile, curious and resourceful who enjoys learning and helping with different kinds of projects. Skills in any of the following areas are highly appreciated:
• Sustainable and natural building
• Carpentry and woodworking
• Use and maintenance of tools and machinery
• DIY projects
• Landscaping and gardening
• Permaculture
• Stone work
• Small repairs and practical problem-solving
• Off-grid and eco-living systems
The work is varied and depends on the season and ongoing projects. We value initiative, creativity and a positive attitude more than formal qualifications.
What we offer
In exchange for 4 hours of help per day, 6 days per week, we provide:
• Accommodation in a private caravan
• Breakfast

Workawayers can learn to work cleaning the forest respecting its natural cycle, learn a little of the Portuguese and Dutch language and customs, we want to share our knowledge but also learn from others and meet new people. These shares are of great wealth

Aide
We have to offer a tent, dry toilet, shower with hot water and food in exchange for help cleaning the forest . We are looking for someone who is used to this type of work that requires knowledge of using machines.
