  Description

  We're a non-profit sailing assosiaction and school since 1982, with our summer base in north-east of Sardinia, Italy. We offer sailing and windsurf courses from June to September for kids (age 9-17) and adults, on dinghies and catamarans, and we organise weekley crouises around the island.
  
  We're a bit like a big family and at the end of every week it feels like you've been with us for a longer that you imagined. You get the chance to meeting new people, learn how to live in a community, a get the chanche to try sailing. All of this surrounded by our beautiful sardinian sea and the vegetation around us, in the middle of Le Saline gulf, just few km from the small town of Palau.

  At levante we value the presence of different culture and we're always happy to host volunteers from different part of the world. Our team of sailing istructor is very happy to keep a positive and pleasant atmosphere wether it's an aperitivo in the sunset or a pic-nic on a boat you're always welcome to partecipate in our activities.
  During their free time workawayers can explore the areas around. Our base is located inside a camping facing the sea surrounded by nature, and there's a bus connection that in only 10 mintues will bring you to the town of Palau, where you can take a walk geeting to know local people or take a ferry to visit la Maddalena archipelago.
  Inside the camping we have two main beaches, and there are a lot of facilities like scubadiving, e-bike rental, kayak rental, tennis and football camp and swimming pools.

  Aide

  We're loking for ground volunteers who can help us for a minimum of two weeks up to a month, to keep our base a welcoming place for our sailing students. The three role we're looking for are:
  
  - general ground volunteer: someone with DIY skills, handy person and not afraid to lift heavy weights.
  - cambusiere: being a cambusiere at our base means being the caretaker of the common areas and the kitchen. Keeping a general state of cleanliness around the main house and help and coordinate the students during their dishes cleaning turn (comandata). No volunteers prepare meals or serve drinks for our students.

  A part from italian, most of our staff members speak fluent english and our chief base is brazilian.

  Hébergement

  We offer three types of accomodation based on the period and the lengh of staying.
  - wooden houses with 4 bunk beds shared with other volunteers (shelfs and plugs included)
  - private big caravan with 2 bunk beds (shelf and plugs included)
  - private tent in the shade (we can arrange a plug)
  
  Beacuse we're located inside a camping we share common bathrooms with the camping. The nearest bathroom is just 2 minutes walking from the base and it has private cabins with toilet, sink and hot shower.
  
  Regarding our meals, we have an excellent sardinian chef, who prepare meals for everyone (lunch and dinner) while breakfast is a buffet where everyone can serve themselves.
  We generally eat all together staff, volunteers and students under a big tent so you can enjoy the summer breeze and the not so distant sea view.

  Autres infos...

  The nearest airport and port is located in Olbia (approximately 1 hour by car and 2 hours by bus to Palau). There a lot of bus connection especially during summer high season (June-September).
  
  Once in Palau we can either arrange a pick-up or you can take the free bus connection to the Camping.
  
  At the camping we there's a cafè, restaurant, minimarket and ATM service, while in Palau you'll find major facilities like pharmacy, supermarkets, bar, shops etc.
