    Description

I am a Horticulturist and a practitioner of Self-Sustainable living on my two acres land for 30 years. A founder and organizer of garden tour since 1997, I taught cooking and baking for many years.

In order to provide my large gardens for fund raising by non profit organizations, for demonstrating environmental sound living practices , and for being self- sufficiency,I couldn't do it all but I need help from like-minded people.

There are three small buildings on my property, Tree house, Cob house and the Meditation house, they are all built with local wood and are the accommodations for workawayers and woofers.

The descriptions of the buildings are as follow:
    1) Treehouse, has a double bed, and a deck with ocean and garden views.

    2) Meditation house has 4 bunk beds . The larger deck allows yoga practice. It is located in a small forested area with a creek running below.

    3) Cob house, is made from clay, sand and cedar chips, timber framed with local fir.
A washroom with shower, toilet, and a heated tile floor adjacent to it, And is shared with other helpers.

Under the large covered grape arbor is the outdoor kitchen and dinning areas, It provides excellent WiFi.

Schedule: 9am to 1pm. 5 days a week. schedule can be flexible.

Help consists : Weeding, planting, transplanting, pruning, mulching, compost making, housekeeping, general maintenance.

Due to diet preferences among helpers, I will prepare either dinner or lunch and you can create your own particular food and I will supply you with the materials.

One month minimum stay is required , longer stay can be arranged'

    Sincerely,
    Diana

I have lived in Canada for about 50 years, I can speak English fluently. If anyone wants to learn Mandarin Chinese which is my mother language, I can also teach Classical Chinese writing. I have taught Chinese to a doctor, a student, and a woofer privately. And also taught in night school.

When you are here, you will be immersed in Canadian Culture.
As for myself, I am very interested in learning your cultures.
