  Description

  We, Esther and Wolfgang, a creative German couple live on an eco-finca in the valley of Mogan in the south of Gran Canaria. We are about 10 km from the sea. Wolfgang has lived on Gran Canaria since 2005 and bought the finca four years ago.
  
  We don't drink alcohol or take drugs and expect the same from our volunteers.
  
  Our project is the construction and maintenance of an ecologically operated finca with vegetable cultivation and avocado, mango, banana and other tropical fruit trees. Our finca has about 3500 m².
  
  There are old buildings on our finca that we are currently renovating.
  
  We are running a small hostel with four beds.
  
  Wir, Esther und Wolfgang, ein kreatives deutsches Ehepaar leben auf einer Öko-Finca im Tal von Mogan im Süden Gran Canarias. Wir sind ca. 10 km vom Meer entfernt. Wolfgang lebt seit 2005 auf Gran Canaria und hat die Finca vor vier Jahren gekauft.
  
  Wir trinken keinen Alkohol und nehmen keine Drogen und erwarten das auch von unseren Voluntären.
  
  Unser Projekt ist der Aufbau und Pflege einer ökologisch betriebene Finca mit Gemüseanbau und Avocado-, Mango-, Bananen- und anderen tropischen Obstbäumen. Unsere Finca hat ca. 3500 m².
  
  Auf unserer Finca stehen alte Gebäude, die wir gerade renovieren.
  
  Wir betreiben ein kleines Hostel mit vier Betten.

  We live in a small Canarian village. The people here are very friendly. It is mainly spoken in Spanish. You can improve your language skills and get to know the local way of life. Life is a little more relaxed here.
  
  Wir leben in einem kleinen kanarischen Dorf. Die Leute hier sind sehr freundlich. Es wird hauptsächlich spanisch gesprochen. Du kannst Deine Sprachkenntnisse erweitern und die hiesige Lebensart kennenlernen. Das Leben verläuft hier etwas gelassener.

  Aide

  Gardening: caring for and harvesting trees; planting, tending and harvesting vegetables; Remove weeds; take care of chickens.
  Enjoyment and skill in manual work: Help with construction work and renovation.
  Housework: Coking, cleaning, organizing. We need a mama, who in the house make all things run.
  And we still have so many projects in mind: extend solar-panel-instalation, water-system from our dwell for farm and house, waste-water-recycling, drying and manufactoring of fruits, vegetables and medicinal herbs.
  We work from Monday to Friday from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m
  
  Gartenarbeit: Bäume pflegen und ernten; Gemüse pflanzen, pflegen und ernten; Unkraut entfernen; Hühner versorgen.
  Freude und Geschick am handwerklichen Arbeiten: Hilfe bei Bauarbeit und Renovierung.
  Haushalt führen: Kochen, saubermachen, Organisieren. Wir brauchen eine Mama, die den Laden schmeißt.
  Und wir haben noch so viele Projekte im Kopf: Solar-Anlage erweitern, Wasserversorgung von unserem Brunnen für Landwirtschaft und Haus, Abwasser-Recycling, Trocknung und Verarbeitung von Obst, Gemüse und Heilkräutern.
  Wir arbeiten von Montag bis Freitag von 8.00 bis 13.00 Uhr.

  Esther lernt gerade Spanisch und Englisch Wolfgang is a professional carpenter and had had a carpentry and building company and is able to teach it.

  Hébergement

  We have one double bed room for wimen and one four bed room for men or mixed. There is one common bath room with a shower, a kitchen, a living room area with a dining table and a sofa, and a terrace. Everything is usable, just not completely renovated.
  
  Meals and food is provided throughout the week, also on weekends. From Monday to Friday we usually have together breakfast before 8.00, lunch at arround 13.00 / 13.30 and dinner as everybody like. When there is no "chef", everybody helps to prepare the meals. On weekends we dont have a fixed meal timetable. Sometimes we have separate meals, sometimes cooking together, or you can simple help yourself, depending on the situation.
  
  Wir haben ein Zweibettzimmer für Frauen und ein Vierbettzimmer für Männer oder gemischt. Es gibt ein Bad mit Dusche, eine Küche, einen Wohnzimmerbereich mit Esstisch und Sofa, und Terrasse. Es ist alles gut nutzbar, nur eben noch nicht fertig renoviert.
  
  Essen und Verpflegung stellen wir Dir die ganze Woche zur Verfügung, auch am Wochenende. Von Montag bis Freitag machen wir normalerweise gemeinsam Frühstück vor 8.00, Mittagessen um 13.00 /13.30 und Abendbrot wie jeder will. Wenn wir keinen Koch haben, hilft jeder bei beim Vorbereiten mit. Am Wochenende haben wir keine festen Essenszeiten. Manchmal Essen wir gemeinsam, manchmal getrennt, oder Du machst Dir einfach selbst etwas, je nach Situation.

  Autres infos...

  There are some sights and you can experience beautiful hikes. But the tourist centres with their beaches are also easily accessible. There is a bus connection every hour.
  
  Es gibt einige Sehenswürdigkeiten, und man kann schöne Wanderungen erleben. Aber auch die touristischen Zentren mit ihren Stränden sind gut erreichbar. Es gibt eine Busverbindung alle Stunde.
