Description
Cosy Home Near Aarhus Welcomes Energetic Helpers!
Hello future Workawayers!
We are a family of 4, Laurits (32), Kristine (30), our lively son, Vildfred (5), and our lovely daughter, Vilde (2). Our family is nestled in the charming small town of Alken, a short 20-minute train ride from Aarhus. The train station is conveniently located just 200 meters from our home, providing you with easy access to city life while enjoying the tranquility of our town.
Before settling down, we embarked on a fair share of global adventures. Laurits as also been volunteering as a 'woofer' while journeying through the world. These experiences inspired us to open our home to passionate wanderers like you. A year ago, we became homeowners, and our garden is now in need of some love and attention.
The tasks we need help with is primarily making a vegetable garden, which involves a lot of removing shrubbery by cutting and digging, making high beds and shuffling compost. We can also find other task you can take part ind while beeing here as: painting parts of the house, laying a brick floor in the greenhouse and cleaning. There's a good mix of jobs that are both fun and challenging, ensuring a rewarding experience! You are welcome to write what you are interested in when you get in touch.
Laurits is a software technology engineering teacher, while Kristine is a newly graduated doctor, currently working as a stay-at-home mom caring for Vilde. We love spending our free time sprucing up our home and garden.
In our house, we work together as a team to maintain our living space. We share tasks like tidying up, washing dishes, and cooking. Expect to be in charge of dinner once a week, as we enjoy variety in our meals and sharing our culinary traditions with guests. We always dine together, treating mealtime as a moment to bond and share stories.
Accommodation-wise, we offer a small room in our house with a 140x200 cm bed, perfect for a good night's sleep. If you prefer a closer touch with nature, we also have a spacious shelter in our garden. You can choose where you'd prefer to sleep, and if you are a couple, you are welcome to arrange your sleeping quarters as you like. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with us.
We are seeking 1-2 sociable individuals who are eager to join our little community, which involves both work and fun times. We are happy to share our knowledge and get you started with tasks, but we also value self-sufficiency as our schedules can be unpredictable. We are looking forward to lots of laughter, cultural exchange, and creating wonderful memories together.
If you are an individual or a couple ready to delve into a Danish family life while contributing to our home's maintenance, we would be delighted to host you!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
