Hi,

Nice to meet you! I’m a 31 year old Dutchie who just started with a big adventure of Workawaying fulltime in Europe by myself. My aim is to travel from Workaway place to Workaway place by public transport, starting in Europe.
I really needed a 180 degrees turnaround in my life so I quit everything back home, put my stuff in a storage box and bought a one way ticket to Portugal. Since I don't have a return date yet, I have plenty of time :) my intention is to travel for one year.
I've always had the dream to travel for a longer period of time by myself but first life happened so I had to wait for years before I could realise this.

Last March I already spent 1 month in Portugal doing Workaway and I totally loved it. Actually, this was my 'trial month'.
So right now, it's just me and my backpack and a dosis of travel urge.
Going without a detailed plan but just go with the flow, experience the unknown and see how everything will unfold.

A little bit more info about me; I love meeting new people, travelling (of course 😊 ), watching the sunset, walking barefoot at the beach, doing yin yoga, deep conversations, animals (I love love dogs), music (played clarinet and in orchestras for 10 years) listening to my Spotify playlist, laughing, humour, exploring new cities, nature, personal development, sitting around a campfire with a bunch of other nice people and sleeping in (I'm not a morning person at all)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I love to be around animals and to take care of them, same for young children. I've been a babysitter for over 15 years and 3 years ago I started to be a dog & cat sitter occasionally. Next to that, I grew up with a sweet labrador so I know how to take care of dogs.
Besides that, I also would like to learn how to take care of other animals like pigs, chickens, donkeys etc. Since I'm a sensitive person, I feel easily the needs of animals (and humans).

During my first Workaway last March I also discovered that I like to do some farm work like pruning trees, planting, helping in the (vegetable) garden etc.

Futhermore, I’ve a Bachelor in International Hospitality Management so I do know some stuff about that and so I do have good organization skills. Oh and before you start thinking now that I’m a very very good cook because of my degree, no I’m not lol. I'm just a regular house cook :) but I do like to make & learn new homemade recipes.

Lastly, I've played clarinet for more than 10 years so I can also teach you some clarinet skills lol
