Easy to love, hard to leave!
This certainly applies to Jenny & Henrik. Together with their two boys, aged 4 and 5, they run their busy lives in a relaxed way.
For us they were the perfect hosts to start our first workaway experience. We had already discussed some things in advance and it all turned out great. We were immediately welcomed into
… read more their young family and given all the space and time we needed to prepare for shipping our truck camper to Uruguay. When the job was done, we were able to get started with a ToDo list, in which we were given complete freedom to tackle the jobs in our own way. It was wonderful that we could really add something to the family of 4 with the 5th on the way...
Jenny and Henrik have a relaxed approach to life. We soon had great conversations. About travel, of course, but also about all kinds of other things. They are always interested and great open-minded conversation partners.
When we stood in front of the large world map to tell the boys where we came from and where we were going, many places were quickly pointed out that should be visited one day.
Damsdorf is really a very small, but therefore a nice rural town. It is easily accessible by public transport.
Together with their boys (and???) they are just very nice people.
We left with the feeling that we have gained 2 friends for life.
If you are ever looking for a workaway in the north of Germany, we can highly recommend Jenny & Henrik.
They really are easy to love, hard to leave!
Outstanding Workawayers!
First of all…we are really proud to be the first hosts and be part of Erik and Pattys rolling dream adventure . Erik and Patty stayed two weeks with us. We’ve had the chance to get to know them a little better before they arrived because of an excellent communication and clear expectations on both sides. They are very

We agreed to a smooth start, because they had to finish the last bit on their truck for the shipping to Uruguay. This kind of start into Workaway exchange was a good experience. Even for us as hosts. Erik and Patty had the chance to have a slow start into the working progress and they had the opportunity to see how our daily life is and joined our family life perfectly. They adapt to sometimes fast changing circumstances very well.
We discussed what needs to be done. They were open for every kind of tasks. They saw lots of things besides the list and brought new ideas to our home. Just great!
They are a fantastic team with smart solutions and always thinking ahead. We’ve had a really fun time with them and we loved to show our children this kind of exchange through Workaway. Both spoke good German and really good English.
They were always on demand. Even though we didn’t assume that. They are hard and fast working guys with excellent results. Erik and Patty are reliable and you can count on them anytime. They were a great help to convert our ideas into reality.
Thanks guys!
We’ve had lots of interesting conversations and were laughing a lot. We spend great time in the free time. They are trustful and open minded.
We are grateful to had them here and that they shared their story with us. We have nothing to complain about. To any host out there! Don’t miss out to spend time with these beautiful souls! We absolutely recommend Erik and Patty to other hosts. You’re welcome here anytime. Our door will always be open for you.
We wish you all the best for your journey!

This was my first workaway experience and it was great. Jenny and Henrik are friendly are really nice people, their little boys are very energetic and adorable. In the time I spent there I tried and learned a few new things, like lawn moving, and helping with drinks at their summer party. My tasks were easy and fun. The countryside is beautiful

My hosts were really nice and gave me a ride by car so I could go visit Hamburg, Kiel and Lübeck. I left there with some new friendships made. I wish them all the best and recommend them to other wrokawayers.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Katja is an easy going person and very polite. We were excited for a new culture exchange and Katja suit in our family well and adapted very good - even in sometimes fast changing situations. Before I travelled to Jenny and Henrik, I was expecting to meet warm, open and friendly people based on the messages sent before the trip, but this couple (and their baby) exceeded all my expectations. … read more experience, we enjoyed each other's company, but also got things done. It was a perfect balance of work and fun, and everything went very fluently. It was important for Jenny and Henrik that I enjoyed the tasks I did and that we also spent time together. After the week I felt like part of a community, which is crazy after such a short time. I think that's because Jenny and Henrik are really true to who they are, which makes it easy to connect with them and they treat you like part of the family. Once I left I felt like I had known them much longer and I guess the feeling was mutual. Not only was I left with great memories, I made two wonderful friends. Jenny and Henrik are not like everyone else, their positive mindset and open and curious way of looking at things is something exceptional, and the way they treat others is something to look up to. I would only recommend staying with them, but also warn you- it's not easy to leave ;) . I miss your lovely little family, but we will see each other soon. :)Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Erika is one of a kind. Easy to love and hard to let her go!
We were workawayers ourselves and this was our first time beeing a host and we couldn’t have asked for a better workawayer.

… read more the tasks she has done. Erika is hard working and very motivated. She saw things that needed to be done and did them and also gave ideas and would stand to her opinion. Working with her together was great and a lot of fun. Her attitude is great and gave a good vibe to our home. When Erika stayed with us we did a vegan week. That lifestyle was totally new to us. We have learned a lot about it and Erika cooked delicious meals for us. Erika is really tolerant, open minded and shows respect to other people and their lifestyle.
Even in that short stay, Erika became a part of this family. She was very good with our son - playing with him and taking care of him, she joined us to familybreaksfast, events in the village and even went to the gym with Henriks brother.
We definitely recommend Erika as a workawayer. We would always have her back - you are welcome anytime!Feedback
