  Description

  Ahoy Sailors ( or starting sailors) . My name is Eelke i'm a passionate Sailor for almost 40 years. My ship is a two mast-clipper from 1885 but adapted to modern times. We get a lot of international travellers on board. For season 2025 ( April-October), we are searching for an enthusiastic, representative deckhand to navigate the waters of the Wadden Sea and the IJsselmeer alongside Skipper Eelke .Hospitality is vital to us, and we offer our guests an unforgettable sailing experience.
  Sailing experience is not a requirement, but a willingness to learn is essential. Do you have an affinity for outdoors? If so, don't hesitate to get in touch! and you might become our new deckhand for an amazing season on the Wadden Sea and the IJsselmeer in the Netherlands . You must be able to speak at least a little German. Minimum length of stay 4 till 5 months.

  We get international customers on board, but the most of our guest are people from Germany end the Netherlands.

  Aide

  Together with the captain you are the host and welcome our guests on board en give them a life time experience, You give our guests instruction how to set the sails . Some sailing experience is handful but not necessary, We give you education on board . More important is good hospitality skills and neat appearance. In Advance ,you need a short course of 5 days after that you receive a Seaman Book which is international accepted . The course is at our cost.
  Salary : Minimum wage of the Netherlands including room and board.
