  Description

  Hey - we are 3 three humans (61/15/11), two dogs and five chicken, living in the Northern part of Germany, about an hour South East from Hamburg. We live in a little village in a region called Wendland. The area is known for having played a big role in the resistance against the nuclear waste dump, for a creative population and a beautiful nature, actually a lot of nature - and not so much population.
  We are new in this community, but we have been part of different "holidays for helping hands"-groups on fb and we have hosted many volunteers already. I also worked for a student exchange program for many years - so I can say, I have some experience in cultural exchange and hosting.
  We love sharing knowledge and experience, ideas and creativity - spending time together and making good memories - so welcome to our world.

  We welcome you as a family member, that means you are invited to join our everyday life and we like to spend some of the free time together as well as the working hours. Of course we like to learn about your life and your country and I hope the experience of hosting work aways will encourage my kids to go out and explore the world in their way one day. We are a happy trio and like to create good times together with whatever inspires us for the moment, we play board games, sit at camp fires, walk through nature, sing karaoke, bake a lot of tasty stuff - and of course eat it all, we like flee markets, small concerts and other events.

  Aide

  We welcome everyone who would like to support our daily efforts to improve our vegetable gardening, care taking of the animals and the surroundings. There are lot of different things to do, so it won´t be boring whatever skills you bring or would like to practice. I, myself can do a bit of everything, but regarding my age, I´m not always able to do it all alone any longer. And if you bring certain experiences or ideas, there may be a spot were we need exactly you :-)

  Hébergement

  There are several options: The Cottage, the Camper, the Chicken Lounge or a guest room in the house. All accommodations use the bathroom in the house. All accommodations have a proper radiation. All accommodations have a double bed. All accommodations have an option to fix a coffee or a tea or even a small meal for yourself, but you are welcome to join our table - we don´t follow any strict rules or ideologies but live mostly vegetarian and are able to adapt to vegan guests.
  
  We are offering 3 meals a day/free access to ingredients + kitchen.

  Autres infos...

  The area is perfect for nature lovers, for hiking, bird watching, for runners or for bicycle riding (we have several bikes for guests), public transport is not very good, but I can do a taxi tour in case it is needed and there are a lot of interesting places around. We could also connect you with horse people, if you like horse back riding.
  Our everyday life is very regular, because of the kids and school. I spend the days while they are in school with taking care of the house, the animals and the garden - and work on different projects. There is also a lot of space, tools and material, you could use for your own creative ideas, like sewing, painting, do pottery, wood working. We have a piano (no one uses these days) or an accordion.
  We don´t mind if you smoke outside - same with alcohol in a moderate way.
