Description

Our family lives with me (Maria, 65) and three grown up and moved out sons at the countryside in Carinthia, Austria. The next small city Völkermarkt is 6 km away, Klagenfurt 24 km. We have got an old stall beside and 4500 m2 land around with hedges and trees to maintain. So if you really can work with wood, we would be pleased if you want to help us for one week. We could use help with splitting wood and pruning fruit trees, maybe also with cleaning the house.
We expect you to help maximum 4 - 5 hours/day, 5 days/week and offer you austrian food, also vegetarian is no problem, and accomodation in a small room in our house. In your spare time you may swim in the Klopeinersee (12 km), enjoy the quiet location and go on hiking trips around the beautiful area.

Carinthia is known for its lakes and mountains, some of them are nearby. You can hike, bike, paddle with us or on your own, make excursions to castles or caves or in the city, if you have a car with you. In your spare time you may swim in the Klopeinersee (12 km), enjoy the quiet location and go on hiking trips around the beautiful area.

You sleep in an extra room in our house, using bathroom and kitchen together with us.

Sarah is a very helpful, humorous, communicative, and open mind person. She helped me inside the house and around it with shoveling snow. She has many interests, and we had some great conversations. We did mobility exercises together, cooked, cleaned, and had a lot of fun playing games. Sarah's visit was a real enrichment.

Ondrej spent one month here and he, as well as we together, did a lot of work in the garden. His skills are varied and he works quickly, competently and persistantly. Ismael is an artist with his akkordeon! We enjoyed to have him with us. He is an interested young man, helpful and nice. He is learning fast, both the work and the language.
