After a Two month experience in the Czech Republic the word outstanding doesnt even come close to describe how incredible the experience was.My host provided 4 star accommodations and meals I wont forget for a VERY Long time. She was kind enough to show & educate me on all the local history which is quite extensive and also take me on an
… read more incredible day journey through Prague which is only about an hour away.
The Daily working atmosphere was not strict whatsoever,meaning I could start when I wanted to and set my own hours to accomplish the daily tasks at hand.This was a privilege and definitely not one to be abused.Rebekah's home,is loaded with tasks to be done for any type of skill level
Rebekah's genuine kindness,honesty 7 Good Nature made coexisting for this longer work away experience a blueprint for a friendship that I will cherish and keep forever.If your looking for a true European experience with beautiful accommodations and a wonderful human being in a country that has more visual history then anywhere Ive been in Europe this is the opportunity for you.I know Ill be back fer sure.

If you have the opportunity to have Roger as a Workawayer, DO IT!! He is very skilled and applies himself to the task in hand wholeheartedly. He takes pride in the finished result and readily solidsolves any problems if they arise. I was thrilled with the exterior solid wood door that Roger made from scratch for me as well as fitting and finishing
… read more an old wooden door to replace an existing draughty one. He also needed to not only remove the old metal door frame that was embedded in the house's exterior wall but build a new one from wood and fit it. Due to the weight of the solid wood door, the frame and its subsequent installation was no small task and he not only managed to do all of this single handedly, he worked very hard to make sure it was perfect in its operation, absolutely secure, did not allow any draughts and was cosmetically perfect. It is a stunning addition to the house and is EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you again Roger.
The thought of living with Roger was a little daunting to me. My first Workawayer who will be with me for two months. I am a woman that is used to living alone and I love my own space so I was somewhat nervous about how things would go. i need not have been. Roger is an extremely thoughtful and considerate house guest and also great company. I would get up to a fire that is already burning away nicely, if washing up had been left from the previous night, it would be all washed up. My cats would have been fed and I would be greeted with his warm and cheery "Good Morning" and a genuine enquiry as to how I'd slept. I can truly say that I have never had a more perfect person staying in my house as a guest. Roger is a very warm and genuine person who I missed kicking around the place once he'd gone. I made a valued friend in Roger and if you get the chance to have him come to you, grab him! You will be so pleased that you did. :-)

We only spent one day/night here because we were there to cat/house sit for her while she was out of the country - but the short time we spent with her was relaxed, fun and filled with interesting conversation. We immediately felt welcome, and would have been happy to spend more time with her (had the situation allowed it.) Her cats are
… read more sweethearts. The village is tiny, but very close to other slightly bigger tiny villages with a market, a pub, etc. - nothing is more than a 5 minute bike ride away. The area is gorgeous - and it is only a 10 minute train ride from the closest rail station. I can imagine any workawayer would be happy to spend several weeks (months?) here, helping her fix up her cool, historic home (which is, by the way, enormous - even living there at the same time, you'd have a lot of space to yourself.)
