I stayed with Annabelle and her lovely twin babies for two months, from March 2023 to May 2023.
I had a wonderful experience while there. Annabelle is very accommodating, explains everything, and will help you wherever she can.
My routine was waking up at 06:00 with the twins and allowing Annabelle to sleep a bit more. During that time I would
… read more change their diapers, give them milk and vitamins. Afterwards, I would play with them until 09:00, then Annabelle would come spend some time with them before their morning nap around 10:00 or 10:30. I was free about 09:00 to 16:00, at 16:30 I would prepare dinner for Annabelle and I or we would cook together. At 17:00 we'd give the twins their evening milk and put them to sleep at around 18:00. After 20:00 I was free again. Other duties include hanging our laundry and folding, ironing baby clothes and cleaning like once a week. What I loved about this family is that they welcomed me with open arms and staying with them felt like staying at home with normal duties of taking care of each other and cleaning after yourself.
I highly recommend Annabelle as a host and you will definitely have a good time there. She lives close to the city centre of Ghent and most place are within walking distance.

Uzuva has been my fourth Workaway experience and the best I had so far. She's very social, friendly, enthusiast and has a lot of energy. She takes initiative while being mindful of my personal space and privacy. She knows how to cook (a big plus) and my kids adore her. I stayed with Annabell and the babies last February.
Amor and Agatha were 8 months old when I was there. They are the loveliest joyful little ones I've met. I was mainly playing with them, making sure they were ok and had clean diapers and feeding them. I miss them a lot, I really loved them. Annabell is a very invested mother. She gives all the
… read more best to her children. She a good host and I've been really happy to stay at her place and to discover such a nice family.
About the place, the house couldn't be better located. It's in the street of a good deserved train station and close to the centrum. Gent is an incredibly dynamic city with a lot of things to do! From the museums, cinema, parks, bars to the unique architecture in the centrum. I've been able to make some good friends there. I really have a lot of good memories of that month.
I stayed only 4 weeks because I was looking for a last minute stay and had already an other workaway for March but when I left I felt like it was too soon and that I could've stay one month more with them.Ce workawayer a choisi de garder privé son profil mais peut être contacté par les autres workawayers concernant ce feedback.

I am currently staying with Annabell and her three month old twins, Agatha and Amor - who are absolutely adorable! I will be here until mid October and wanted to leave a review so that she will have help when I depart.. Annabell lives very close to the historic center of walkable Ghent in a large home with an attic space that also has a mini
… read more kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, stove top, and oven, and her large, full kitchen on the main floor is available for use as well. Before the babies arrived, Annabell had many housemates and is quite comfortable sharing her space. She has two showers and three toilets and, because there are five levels to her house, it never feels crowded. Annabelle also has a strong network of friends, an aide two afternoons per week, and an overnight babysitter twice per week as well. Annabell will be retuning to work soon, and the babies will be in daycare for part of the day. She will need help attending to the babies with her in the mornings and evenings when she is alone, and any overnight assistance with bottle feeding would be greatly appreciated as well so that she can get sleep. Help with general cleaning and any food preparation or cooking would also be helpful. Annabell is a very calm, warm, and friendly person, and is very flexible accepting whatever type of help you are able to offer!Feedback
