Erica and Alain were absolutely amazing. We booked our trip almost last minute , and they were so accommodating. Working the farm was so refreshing, from cleaning carrots, harvesting, separating dailies, to having group meals. The reward of helping and giving back warms the heart. We had such memorable moments with our host and volunteers. The

Tammy and Jay were such a delight to have on the farm for three weeks this fall. It was perfect timing at the end of the season to put the farm to bed for winter. They arrived with an upbeat positive attitude that lasted throughout their stay. They were always a delight to be around. They also came with many skills. They happily jumped in any

Zach was here for 5 weeks and they flew by. He was hardworking, capable, and a pleasure to have on the farm. From planting, mulching, weeding, pruning tomatoes, clipping cucumbers, harvesting all sorts of crops, and even taking care of our cats and chickens for a couple of days, he was a reliable and calm presence. He also knows how to cook and we

Erica and Alain were some of the best hosts I've had. They were very friendly and welcoming from day one, and the five weeks I spent here were great. The farm was very well organized, and there was never any confusion about what we were supposed to be doing each day. I worked in a variety of tasks, including planting, harvesting, bed prep, and

We loved having Charlie on the farm. She was hard-working, enthusiastic, reliable and just a a great vibe all around. Charle did bed prep, weeding, planting, mulching and harvesting (her favorite). We enjoyed some lovely meals together chatting over good food in French and English. We just wish she had stayed longer. We hope she will be back!

I stayed 4 weeks at the vegies to table farm, and it was an amazing experience.
The exchanges with Erica and Alain were as interesting as they were fascinating. Every day I had the chance to meet new volunteers and work with a wonderful team, big up to Hanna and Victoria!

At the start of the season, the work is rather physical, preparing the beds and putting in the ground the plants that were previously in greenhouses. The day starts early, to take advantage of the fresh morning air, which is a good habit to get into, to make the most of the day. In the afternoon, I enjoyed relaxing at the farm, taking time to visit the small town of Damariscotta (Coffe, thrift shop, librery), hiking and trail walking in the forest, and swimming at the lake, accessible by walking.
I was housed in a small, very comfortable apartment, which allows for great autonomy with a very well-equipped kitchen and a large bedroom, sometimes shared with other volunteers. Erica et Alain always taken care of my comfort and had everything I needed.
This connection in kind was beneficial for me, I wish you a great experience too !Feedback

Volunteering here was a wonderful experience! The hosts and workers were accommodating, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. I would absolutely recommend this workaway! Also the area of Newcastle was quaint and beautiful. Thank you Erica and Alain!

Sarah was a pleasure to have on the farm. Her stay was short, but productive. She worked hard, had a great attitude and got lots done. She is a team player and is also comfortable working alone. We only wish she was here longer!
