Description
Ola everyone!
My father found our beautiful piece of land in the south of Alentejo in 1999 with just a small mud ruin on it.
Through many years of hard work, and with this being our ongoing life project, we are very happy to say that we created a sustainable home - with our very own water source, a big garden with many fruit trees and plant species and a delicious all year round vegetable garden.
Located high up on the top of a mountain, further away from the village, it is the perfect place to indulge in nature and enjoy its breathtaking views and sunrises.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

My dad is a painter and a sculptor, traveled the world in his young years and knows a lot about history.
He loves to eat and to cook delicious Portuguese food and if I might say so - is the best cook ever!
Living on this farm will give you a beautiful insight of what it means to be deeply connected to nature, to spend time with yourself and to learn with and about life in this beautiful area of southern Portugal!Aide
My dad spends most of his time alone on the property working on many projects such as the house and garden.
Myself as his daughter, live abroad and can only help when I am visiting -
So I have decided to search for responsible and enthusiastic people that would enjoy living on a farm and in community while helping with daily tasks.
The most important thing is that we are searching for people that are honest and respectful towards us, our animals and nature and we hope to find people that we can share our values with, work and learn together.
It is important for us that we find a common ground together, set our expectations and have clear communication.
In exchange of your hard work you will receive accommodation and two daily home cooked meals.
What are we currently working on?
All helping hands are appreciated and all tasks can be adapted to each person.
An example of things and people we are looking for are:
-handy works - we are open to create together and make things better together!
Carpenters or wood enthusiasts - to work on interesting projects / develop wood structures such as:
- Fences
- Furniture
- Animal Shelters
People interested in cultivating and maintaining a vegetable garden, depending on the season it would include:
- Preparing soil / plant beds
- Seeding
- Watering
- Harvesting
Working on our land:
-Clearing up the property in order to be safe from wild fires
-Prune trees
-Plant trees
Helping out in the house:
-cleaning common areas
-general house maintenance
-cleaning your accommodation
-dishwashing
-swimming pool cleaning (daily)
People that are passionate about animals - we have three dogs and two cats. And are looking forward in keeping chickens again!

You will be living in one of our cozy room in our rustical house and will have access to all the amenities such as a big kitchen and your own bathroom with a bathtub.
Internet access works well, although it will work best if you are near to the router in the living room.Autres infos...
It is important to say that our farm is very isolated and unless you have a car - it is difficult to access.
But we offer to pick you up, and bring you back to the train station (Santa Clara Saboia) or bus station (Sao Teotonio) if you decide to stay with us.
My dad does a few trips to the nearest village which is Sao Teotonio, to do the weekly grocery shopping to which you are welcome to join in case you need something.
All around our farm you will find big forests and amazing hiking opportunities with incredible views.
The ocean is just 24km away and offers beautiful sandy beaches and many great spots to surf.
In the area you can find occasional events such as parties or live music and food in cultural centres organised by locals.
Overall we love living far away from urbanisation and are fortunate to enjoy delightful starry night skies, amazing sunrises and sunsets and everything that nature gives us and hope to share this with someone that enjoys that as well.
We hope to find people that match our values and hope to meet you soon!Informations complémentaires
