  Kia Ora! I'm a 26 y/o kiwi girl living out in the country with my mama and papa. We live off grid, surrounded by farmland and mountain ranges. Living rurally comes with space, stillness, incredible views and clear night skies. It also comes with commitment to looking after the land. These two things combined are a chance to live in a way that is connected to nature, a lifestyle that is so nourishing. Come and get amongst it!

  Here you will experience rural living in a beautiful part of New Zealand. You will have the chance to immerse yourself in nature, get your hands dirty, eat well, and get in touch with your body. We have plenty of art supplies and a couple of different instruments, so you have a chance to be creative and musical if you wish. We are 45 minutes away from town in a farming community so events and socializing on the daily isn't likely.
  I have a passion for yoga and wholistic health which I enjoy teaching to people who want to learn. Meeting travelers, sharing knowledge and skills on anything and everything is what we are excited for!

  Aide

  Gardening, tree planting/pruning, building, and firewood are all ongoing jobs that you would be helping out with. It won't be overly strenuous work but a moderate fitness level will help.
  My parents work during the week, so I'll be who you are cruising with most of the time. We'll find a way to work together that suits both of us. The weather plays a big part in daily work, so it can be rather unpredictable and free flowing. All part of being connected with nature.

  Hébergement

  We have 2 spare bedrooms in a 5 bedroom house. The bedrooms are moderately sized with double beds and draws/wardrobes. There is plenty of space in the house to live communally. We eat food from the garden, freezer and grocery shop about once a week. I am vegetarian and my parents eat meat so both options are available. We'll figure out the best way to cook meals together or not based on what's going on that week

  I have a small car that we can share, it's nothing fancy. My parents head to town most days so going in with them and spending the day in town is also an option! There is lots to see and do in the wider Hawkes Bay region - Hikes, beaches, wineries, cafes, camping and so much more. You've just gotta come visit to find out!
