  Description

  We are a couple living in a beautiful part of the Catalan Pyrenees, surrounded by mountains and nature. We love climbing, hiking and spending as much time outdoors as possible. If you enjoy an active lifestyle and are looking for a peaceful place to relax, we think you will love it here.
  We are looking for a native English speaker (or someone with an excellent level of English) who would like to spend some time with us as part of a cultural exchange. My main goal is to improve my spoken English, so I would love to have natural conversations in English every day—during meals, walks, outdoor activities or simply while spending time together.
  In return, we offer accommodation in our home and the chance to experience life in the Catalan Pyrenees. It is a wonderful place to unwind, enjoy mountain sports, explore charming villages and discover an authentic side of Spain.
  We hope this will be a rewarding cultural exchange where we can learn from each other, share experiences and enjoy living together. If you are friendly, open-minded and would like to spend some time in the mountains, we would be delighted to welcome you.

  Somos una pareja que vive en un rincón privilegiado de los Pirineos Catalanes. Nos encanta la montaña, la escalada, el senderismo y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Si te gusta la vida al aire libre y buscas un lugar tranquilo donde desconectar, creemos que te encantará estar aquí.
  Lo que buscamos es una persona de habla inglesa (o con un nivel nativo o muy alto de inglés) que quiera pasar una temporada con nosotros y compartir el día a día. Mi principal objetivo es mejorar mi inglés, por lo que me gustaría hablar en inglés todos los días de forma natural, durante las comidas, paseando, haciendo actividades o simplemente conversando.
  A cambio, ofrecemos alojamiento en nuestra casa y la oportunidad de vivir una experiencia auténtica en los Pirineos Catalanes. Es un lugar perfecto para descansar, practicar deportes de montaña, descubrir pequeños pueblos con encanto y conocer esta parte de España desde dentro.
  Queremos que esta sea una experiencia de intercambio cultural en la que ambos disfrutemos, aprendamos y compartamos buenos momentos. Si eres una persona abierta, comunicativa y te apetece vivir una temporada rodeada de montañas, estaremos encantados de conocerte.

  We believe that the best part of Workaway is the cultural exchange. We love meeting people from different countries, sharing experiences and learning from each other.
  We would be happy to introduce you to life in the Catalan Pyrenees, our local traditions, Spanish and Catalan culture, and some of the most beautiful places in the area. If you enjoy the outdoors, we can go hiking, climbing or explore the mountains together.
  We hope you will feel at home and become part of our daily life. In return, we would love to learn about your culture, your traditions and, most importantly, improve our English through everyday conversations and shared experiences.
  Our goal is for this to be a rewarding experience for both of us, where we build genuine friendships and create lasting memories.

  Creemos que el verdadero valor de Workaway está en el intercambio cultural. Nos encanta conocer personas de diferentes países, compartir experiencias y aprender unos de otros.
  Estaremos encantados de enseñarte la vida en los Pirineos Catalanes, nuestra gastronomía, nuestras costumbres y algunos de los lugares más bonitos de la zona. Si te gusta la naturaleza, podremos compartir excursiones, escalada, senderismo u otras actividades al aire libre.

  Aide

  The main help we are are looking for is very simple: we would like to live with an English-speaking person and practise English every day in a natural way.
  We would like to spend at least two hours a day focusing on improving my English through conversation. This could include chatting, going for walks, doing activities together, playing games, reading or any enjoyable way of practising the language. Whenever possible, we would also like English to be the main language we use during daily life.
  We are not looking for physical work or specific tasks. What we value most is a genuine cultural exchange and the opportunity to improve my fluency and confidence in English through everyday interaction.
  In return, we offer accommodation in our home in the beautiful Catalan Pyrenees, where you can enjoy nature, mountain sports and an authentic experience of life in this part of Spain.

  La ayuda principal que buscamos es muy sencilla: nos gustaría convivir con una persona de habla inglesa y practicar inglés todos los días de forma natural.
  Nos gustaría dedicar al menos dos horas al día a hablar en inglés de forma intencionada para ayudarme a mejorar mi nivel. Estas horas pueden consistir en conversaciones, actividades juntos, paseos, juegos, lectura o cualquier otra forma amena de practicar el idioma. Además, nos gustaría que el inglés fuera el idioma habitual de comunicación durante el resto del día siempre que sea posible.
  No buscamos ayuda física ni trabajos específicos. Lo que más valoramos es el intercambio cultural y la oportunidad de compartir el día a día mientras mejoro mi fluidez y confianza en inglés.
  A cambio, ofrecemos alojamiento en una casa acogedora en los Pirineos Catalanes y la oportunidad de disfrutar de un entorno natural espectacular.

  I am looking for a native English speaker (or someone with an excellent level of English) to help me improve my spoken English through everyday conversations. I would like to spend at least two hours a day speaking English together, and whenever possible, use English as our main language during daily life. In return, I will be happy to help you improve your Spanish and share our culture, local traditions and life in the beautiful Catalan Pyrenees. Busco una persona nativa de inglés (o con un nivel muy alto) que quiera ayudarme a mejorar mi inglés hablado mediante conversaciones cotidianas. Me gustaría dedicar al menos dos horas al día a hablar en inglés y, siempre que sea posible, utilizar el inglés como idioma habitual durante la convivencia. A cambio, estaré encantada de ayudarte a mejorar tu español y compartir nuestra cultura, nuestras tradiciones y la vida en los Pirineos Catalanes.

  Hébergement

  We offer a clean and comfortable private bedroom in our home, located in a peaceful area of the Catalan Pyrenees. You will have access to a shared bathroom, kitchen, living room and all the common areas, so you can feel at home.
  We provide bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi.
  We enjoy cooking at home and sharing meals, as we believe they are one of the best opportunities to chat, practise languages and learn about each other's cultures.
  We also have a friendly dog who is an important member of our family. We would like our guest to be comfortable around dogs and happy to help with some basic care, such as feeding him, taking him for the occasional walk or keeping him company when needed.
  Our goal is for you to enjoy a comfortable, authentic stay while discovering the Catalan Pyrenees and improving your Spanish.

  Ofrecemos una habitación privada, limpia y cómoda en nuestra casa, situada en un entorno tranquilo en los Pirineos Catalanes. Tendrás acceso a un baño compartido, cocina, salón y a todas las zonas comunes para que te sientas como en casa.

  Compartiremos las comidas y nos encanta cocinar en casa. Creemos que las comidas son uno de los mejores momentos para conversar, practicar idiomas y compartir nuestras culturas.
  Vivimos con un perro muy cariñoso que forma parte de nuestra familia. Nos gustaría que la persona que venga se sintiera cómoda con los perros y nos ayudara con algunos cuidados básicos, como darle de comer, pasearlo ocasionalmente o hacerle compañía si fuera necesario.
  Nuestro objetivo es que disfrutes de una estancia relajada, acogedora y auténtica mientras descubres los Pirineos Catalanes y mejoras tu español.

  We live in a peaceful area surrounded by nature, so our home is ideal for people who enjoy the mountains and a relaxed lifestyle.
  In your free time you can go hiking, climbing, cycling, skiing in winter, visit charming villages or simply enjoy the beauty of the Catalan Pyrenees. Having a car makes it easier to explore the area, although we are happy to help with transport whenever possible.
  At home we value respect, cleanliness and a friendly atmosphere. We enjoy spending time together but also respect everyone's privacy and personal space.
  It is important that you like dogs, as we live with one who is a much-loved member of our family.
  If you are looking for an authentic experience, love nature, and would like to help us improve our English through everyday conversation and shared experiences, we would be delighted to welcome you into our home.

  Vivimos en un entorno muy tranquilo, rodeados de naturaleza, por lo que este lugar es ideal para personas que disfrutan de la montaña y de un estilo de vida relajado.
  En tu tiempo libre podrás hacer senderismo, escalada, ciclismo, esquí en invierno, visitar pueblos con encanto o simplemente disfrutar de la tranquilidad de los Pirineos Catalanes. Si tienes coche será más fácil explorar la zona, aunque también podemos ayudarte con el transporte cuando sea posible.
  En casa valoramos el respeto, la limpieza y la buena convivencia. Nos gusta compartir tiempo juntos, pero también respetamos la privacidad y el espacio personal de cada uno.
  Es importante que te gusten los perros, ya que convivimos con uno que forma parte de nuestra familia.

  Our home has a reliable Wi-Fi connection, so it is suitable for digital nomads or anyone working remotely. We are flexible with schedules, as long as we spend at least two hours each day practising English together. The rest of the time is yours to work, explore the area or enjoy the mountains. If you have your own car, it will be much easier to discover the Catalan Pyrenees and the surrounding villages.

  Espace pour garer des vans

  If you are travelling by campervan or motorhome, you'll be happy to know that there is a dedicated campervan area directly opposite our house. The village and the surrounding area also offer plenty of convenient and safe places to park. Although we don't have a private garage or motorhome facilities on our property, the location is very camper-friendly and makes an excellent base for exploring the Catalan Pyrenees.

  Onix (5 ans)

  Onix is a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix. He is very friendly, affectionate and loves being around people. He has lots of energy, enjoys mountain walks and is always happy to make new friends. He is an important member of our family, so we are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with dogs too.
