Description
Our "nest" sits atop a deep valley on 8 acres of land. We are in North Auckland, right after the suburbs become bush.
Our neighbors are our extended family and pop over occasionally.
I like holding fire circles, gym & sauna, bhakti yoga, chanting, ecstatic dance, herbal tea and jamming

I run a seasonal astrotourism project presenting the planets, showing the stars and weaving mythology with tourists. Together we reflect on space, time, and Rā (Papa Sun)
If we get a clear night sky we can set up some cushioning on the roof for an informal astrotour & star gazing sesh
My mum grew up on a marae (tribal village) and through my own relationship with Papatuānuku (Mama Earth), I intend to regrow Eden in Aotearoa (NZ) within my lifetime
My part to play is for the biodiversity, against the industrial deforestation of Tāne (trees, birds, bees). I can't do this alone and need more hands to cultivate the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible

Aide
I have been teaching kids gardening at a public school and now preparing the foundations for our own forest school. Seeking tangible support in holding this vision with myself and my little boy Galileo - tending to my whenua. Once the development road is complete we'll have access to my acres with it's grow space + long established native bush which will be the base for the forest school. Current focus is to phase out the sparp blackberry & grass organically through succession with sunflowers.
On the homestead front, our family is reforesting our 8 acres of grass paddocks. I am taking the lead on with experiments in agroforestry. Main Spring missions are:
> Propogate & plant out banana trees
> Feed food forest lines with woodchip & build soil
> Keep my boy engaged with nature
At my place we also grow veggie and herb seedlings in our green houses and keep 10 laying chickens + 10 chicks which require regular care. If you have experience in food preparation and/or preservation I'm very interested in exploring the various ways to incorporate & stockpile the produce produced.
In short I'm seeking creative, earthy humans who care about kids

Hébergement
Current options for beds are
> Tent in garden [recommended]
> BYO vehicle [with bed]
> In the Observatory [hard mode]
> Bed in lounge [shared space]
All include unlimited access to common spaces - lounge, kitchen, bathroom, decks, bush etc.
I can provide all the veggies needed and source unlimited bulk staples (eggs, sweet potato, rice, beans, cereals, herbs, coconut milk/cream, oils).
Happy to share dinner whenever it flows - as for me I thrive when I eat high fat & low/no wheat
Autres infos...
8 minute drive / 20 minute bike ride / 45 minute walk to
Albany (Bus Station, Mall, Supermarkets, gym & sauna)
or
Long Bay (Regional Park)
Grannies Bay (Cove)
Pohutukawa Bay (Nude beach)
My dad owns a rental car company so can also organise a budget vehicle if needed. My advice in NZ would be to buy a van.

Joshua picked us up from the bus station and we had an easy start. It was a reasonable amount of work for accommodation and food. There was enough time to go on our own andventure or on a trip with him and his son.
Also we really enjoyed watching the stars from the rooftop.
Thanks for everything!
