Description
My wife and I run an English elementary school in Siem Reap Province. We would love English speakers to volunteer for 1 or 2 weeks or more at the school. As a native speaker, you can help our young students by properly pronunciations.
We employ about 15 local teachers who provide education to over 300 students. The teachers do a wonderful job planning and implementing the lessons, but we need you to say the word properly. We would have you attend the morning and afternoon sessions and help out the Khmer teacher by reading flashcards, and small paragraphs or help correct the student workbooks.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Volunteer speaking English at our school. Notice I said to speak and not teach English. Just Have fun. You are "The Icing on the Cake" The kids want to hear your pronunciation. They are amazing spellers with great vocabulary but have had little exposure to what the world actually sounds like. They would love to hear the word from you. My team of teachers does a great job of teaching. They execute planned lessons, guide children through worksheets and their books, and oversee fun art projects {coloring, cutting, pasting} and outdoor physical activity. They run the classroom and incorporate you into the lesson. I'm Paul and my wife's name is Sa it is our job to make you feel welcome. Our two boys live at the main school. Our volunteers also stay here so she or I can give you a tour of the place. there are 7 classrooms with whiteboards and large TVs that hook up to laptops. sperate boys and girls' rooms are set aside. as you can see in the photo 2 beds are in each room (clean sheets and pillow provided). Our little campus has an additional building, a room where teachers laminate, print, and make lessons, and outdoor activity space. The school is 3.9 KM from the Angkor Wat gate and 4.3 km from Pub Street.
At 6:30 am a simple Khmer breakfast is served (coffee. banana and porridge this morning). At 7:30 the children dance and sing in the morning. You'll follow a teacher into a primary classroom and share a little about yourself. most of the 250 kids are between the ages of 4 and 11 (older children attend an evening session). Lessons are given 8-9 followed by a break 9-9:30; 9;30 to 10:30 after break. Lunch will be served where you are at 11:30. Volunteers can choose a 2-4;30 session or attend the slightly older 5-6 pm session.
On the weekend you are free and we'd love to give you a little tour of some of the temples, pagodas, and villages. All and all you'll be a helpful part of our mission to provide English.
Best wishes,
PaulProjets impliquant des enfants

We want dedicated volunteers to work in the classrooms at our school. The kids want to hear your pronunciation. We are not an orphanage. We are a seven-classroom school that benefits greatly from having native English speakers assist in the classroom.
We eat as a family at a small table at the school where you'll be staying (my wife and I also live there with our family). We serve breakfast between 6:30 and 7:00 and lunch between 11:30 and 12:00. We serve simple Asian dishes: porridge, rice, and soups. Portions of protein (fish, chicken, or pork) are served alongside a boiled egg. I'm a vegetarian myself so you can eat alongside me and have the soups with veggies and helpings of lettuce thrown in. We get a nice amount of fresh seasonal fruit and have bread to toast and go along with your coffee.Langues

I would love the students to hear your voice. As a native English speaker hearing you say the word correctly would help the students speak.Hébergement
Volunteers stay at the school or across the street at night. A mattress, sheets, pillow, and a fan are provided for you. Coffee and simple breakfast served 6:30-7:00 am. Khmer Lunch is served at 11:30-12:00. As you can see from the photo there are 2 beds in each room. one room for girls and one room for boys. The shower does not have hot water.
