Description
After 2 years of working as a volunteer via Workaway myself, I bought this little stone house in September 2021. The left side I have been renovating to make it a space for living and now I started with the right part of the house (former shed) to create there a small Ceramic studio, for workshops. Over the last years I've been renovating it with lots of help via Workaway.
I'm 41 years old, born in The Netherlands but always loved the adventure and traveling. The area is quite beautiful for it's nature and nice walks. If you are looking for a city life, lots of things to do, then probably this isn't your place. If you like to spend time in nature, interested in a more conscious way of living, like to do practical/ physical work and like to meet (German speaking) people in the town, maybe this would be a good match :) I like to have people around, but as an introvert I also love my 'me-time'. -

As the area is beautiful with the valleys and hills it's a really good time to connect with nature again, go hiking, biking, swimming, kayakking. The little project can help you to develop new skills related to building, connect with nature and discover local villages.

From time to time I work on little projects now in the House. This can be re-organising space, doing tasks in the garden, painting walls. This will be a project for a Handyman, someone with some diy experience :)

It's a cute little village. The nature is beautiful and perfect for nice walks, swimming in the river, kayakking. The surrounding area is more touristic in the summer, many nice old villages are around. There is a bus in the village that connects with the surrounding villages. A small trainstation is about a 15min drive where I could pick you up if necessary.

Maybe it's because of his perfectionisme but all of what he made (wooden floor, shelves, wooden bar etc) was done in a very professional way.
He is a nice, reliable and calm guy who likes to make Jokes (although I didn't always get them ;))

He's a kind and genuine guy, already feels like a Monk sometimes ;)
He put in a new wooden floor and helped with other things in and around the house.
He works well independently and as a plus he's a good chef too :)
