  Hi there, We are a young family looking for some help fixing up our mountain home, need help with woodwork, plumbing, plastering/gyprock, landscaping, painting, furniture restoration, tiling, etc. etc. Workawayers will have house all to themselves, privacy, peace and nature.
  we have already had lots of experience as workaway hosts building a sailboat in Malaysia.

  In exchange for assisting us with our renovations, we will provide help with english as i'm a teacher, and we are happy to take you out to the city to see museums and galleries, we can help arrange side trips for you to festivals and music events, we invite workawayers to join us in family events and outings, we will introduce them to our friends and extend their interaction with the local community; and of course some training in the arts of plaster, painting, plumbing, and furniture restoration.

  Aide

  volunteers are expected to help 4-5hrs 5days, we supply food basics, we have shared lunch but you will have access to cooking facilities and will need to prep. dinner for yourself.
  initial 3day trial period, then extended stay possible. We are looking for workawayers who are seeking a month+ experience, so we can develop trust, have a shared cultural experience. in exchange for assisting us with our renovations, we will provide help with english as i'm a teacher, and we are happy to take you out to the city to see museums and galleries, we can help arrange side trips for you to festivals and music events, and of course some training in the arts of plaster, painting, plumbing, and furniture restoration.
  Workawayers will stay in house on the mountain in either private bedroom (2 available) or sofabed , we will be there during the day. however workawayers will have the entire house to themselves in the evenings and weekends, this gives you and us some space. This is a rustic country home, suitable for outdoors and adventurous types. Our house has a hot shower, wood fireplace, gas cooking, and outside toilet. Wallabies at the back door at night, possums on the roof and rainbow parrots at the window to wake you up in the morning. if you are looking to experience Australian wildlife, and forests ...this is the place for you.

  Surrounded by Australian bush, local wildlife living around house; with hiking, trail biking (we can lend a downhill mtn bike), cafes, and the downtown melbourne city a 40min bus or 30min train away; we can arrange a ride into the city in our car with some notice. plenty of live music and an awesome alternative community in the Dandenong Ranges. Nearest shops including supermarket, bakery, pizza, fruit shop, chinese/sushi, post office 20min walk from house and a coffee shop/cafe just up the road 2min walk.
