  Description

  We are Monica and Filipo, we are based in Pelarco, Maule region. About 25 km from Talca. We live in the countryside and we carry out a community project that includes culture, sustainability, inclusion, mental health, etc. We lived for many years in Barcelona, Spain, and stayed in Chile after the Covid-19 pandemic. From that moment we began to shape this project, rescuing a traditional house of the Chilean countryside that is about 170 years old. This house is part of Pelarco's Heritage Route and is used for a variety of cultural and community activities. In addition, the space has an area where there is a swimming pool and hot tub, also a few meters away there is a river and it has been reforested with native trees.
  We love to share with people who want to connect with nature and the tranquility that is breathed here, and also enjoy the beautiful views of the Descabezado volcano.
  We need support, with work on the land and maintenance of the space in general in exchange for food and lodging.
  In addition to us, there are two dogs, Liwen and Lanú, who like to walk to the river, a cat named Luna and a very vocal rooster.

  After many years living outside of our country, we are reconnecting with our roots and generating a community project. Every person who visits us and comes to collaborate, we consider them a participant-traveller of this process, therefore, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the different activities of our space and the community.
  It is also a place of calm and contemplation, if you wish, you can participate in actions and proposals that enhance this objective.

  We want help in the different needs of this place: care and maintenance of the field, different maintenance help. And collaborations in different things that may be needed.
  The stay we can offer is for two weeks. If they travel for two months or more, they can spend two weeks in our space again before their trip ends.

  It is located in Lo Patricio, which corresponds to the municipality of Pelarco in the Maule region.
  There are several natural areas of high value to visit, both in the pre-mountain range and in the coastal sector, Pelarco is equidistant between the sea and the mountains. Its name comes from Mapudungún and means “frost water”. It was founded as a rest stop between the cities of Curicó and Talca, and in 1786 the first local parish was built, a building declared a national monument.
