My two-week stay from the end of November to the beginning of December was wonderful. I was warmly welcomed by Angela and Marcus right from the start and their relaxed and friendly nature made the time incredibly pleasant.
During my stay, I was not only able to experience first-hand how the olive harvest and the following oil production works, but

The different topics of conversation at mealtimes were also very interesting. I especially liked that there was never a shortage of fun and we laughed a lot.
It was an unforgettable time that I will always look back gladly. Thank you very much for everything!
I wish you all the very best for the future and hope that we will meet again sometime.Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Andreas)
The time with Andreas (26 years old, Germany/Bavaria) as a workawayer here was very nice and a very positive experience for us. We are very grateful that this form of working together, living together and personal exchange is possible thanks to the 'workaway' organization.
Andreas not only supported us actively in the olive grove, but also with

Thanks to his lively, humorous and open nature, we spent a very entertaining time with him with many funny and beautiful moments. Thanks to his knowledge and familiarity with agricultural topics, he was not only able to understand the work processes very well - he also often asked very interesting questions that made us question things in a new way and gave him new knowledge and perspectives.
His willingness to be flexible with his time was particularly helpful to us.
He was therefore able to use his free time to take longer trips to the surrounding Tuscan cities (especially Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Florence). Andreas also enjoyed being able to visit the sights of these places in peace outside of the peak travel season.
We wish Andreas all the best for the rest of his life and are excited to see if our paths cross again - he is always welcome here.
I have stayed at Angela and Marcus for 2.5 week and I felt immediately at home because they are very welcoming and warm. During my stay, I helped with mowing and caring for the olive trees, gardening and watering the plants, and moving the wood. Working and living together felt natural and unforced (ungezwungen), and it was easy to get into the

We spent many meals together during which we had open and interesting conversations about life and finding your own way in it. Angela and Marcus also learned me a lot about plants, olive trees, and the history of the area.
In my free time, I mostly went out for bike rides in the beautiful Tuscan surrounding - it sometimes felt a bit as a small paradise. I also enjoyed laying in the hammock watching the view on Castiglion Fiorentino.
I'm grateful for this workaway experience. Angela and Marcus, I want to thank you again for everything! Hopefully we will meet again.
We spent a very good time here with Marleen, a sporty, self-confident and very intelligent young woman from the Netherlands. Marleen always actively supported us with the work that needed to be done, such as mowing or mixing and applying organic fertilizer in the root area of the trees. We wish Marleen all the best for her new paths of life.
And we would be happy to welcome her at any time.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at Angela’s and Marcus‘ place. It was my first solo workaway experience and I highly recommend getting to know them and their beautiful slice of Tuscany.

The time Paula spent with us here was a really great and enjoyable experience. Though having lived all her life in the city of Berlin, Paula had no problems adapting to life in the country and on a farm - on the contrary: not only that she supported us with all the works which were to do, for example collecting and cutting benches, weeding or

Dear Angela and Marcus,
In February, I had the pleasure of staying with you guys for 2 weeks. This was my first ever workaway and it could not have been any better. We are happy that we had a such a fine new workaway-experience with Jiayue. Even so young she already has such a conscious mind and we all enjoyed the deep conversations and cultural exchange. It’s really a present to have interested and open minded young people as Jiayue is, here. Jiayue also demonstrated a great deal of flexibility, adaptability

Not only did she learn the gardening work very quickly and enjoyed as well - she also arranged and supported us very competently when we had to rest for a few days due to a cold. Immediately Jiayue showed off her skills für cooking and taking care of the house. So we want to say ´Thank you` again and we would be delighted to welcome her back here anytime.

I had such a lovely time staying with Angela and Marcus. The property overlooks Castiglion Fiorentino (which is a short walk away and a lovely Tuscan town) and the surrounding valleys. It was a real great time together with Nick as a workawayer.
Nick is a very warm hearted, interested and open minded young man with humour and joy in life. We really laughed a lot together. But he also has fun moving things forward and so he supported us in many things on our farm. He worked self-employed and encouraged, but also used his time

We are really grateful to have such wonderful experiences meeting as human beings.

This was my first Workaway experience and I must say it was awesome!
I spent two weeks (Sep-Nov '23) with Angela and Marcus in their home in Castiglion Fiorentino. They are very welcoming, friendly and open-minded. Angela and Marcus are amazing hosts that make you feel at home from the moment you get there. Their house is located on a hill and has

I helped in the olive groove and the tasks were very easy to do like trimming branches, freeing the olive trees from competing vegetations in order to prepare them for olive harvest. I also helped in a daily task around the house, like watering plants for example. I worked about 4 hours a day. In the town is there a railway station (about 20-30 min far from house), so I could visit close towns afternoons like Arezzo, Cortona or even Perugia. The weekends were free from work so I could went to Florence or Siena. During my stay there I never felt as a worker but rather as a guest instead... end even more - as a family member :)
Thanks for everything, arrivederci!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
