  Description

  Hi! We are a family of three people: me (Maken), and my two sons Raphaël (15, who is in high school) and Mathys (19, who is currently a Workawayer in Germany, and will come back to Switzerland in September for his studies at EPFL in Lausanne).
  We live in a beautiful village in the canton of Jura, a small region in the french-speaking part of Switzerland. The area is quiet, and surrounded by forests, rivers and countryside :) We are quite close to cities like Basel (1 hour by train), Neuchâtel and Bern (1.5 hours), but also very close to the French border (45 minutes by car).
  Here you could help with all sorts of tasks, depending on what needs more support: sorting out folders, helping in the garden, chores, etc.
  
  We would love to get know you and to host you for a wonderful time in our family!

  We will gladly show you around our beautiful region! As said above, we are surrounded by countryside: if you like going for walks or hikes there are plenty of choices. There would also be a bike that you can borrow if you're interested. There are also nice towns and cities around, that can be reached easily with public transport.
  
  About us: we love playing games together, go to the small cinemas and theaters in the region, but also spend time together by the fire and play music (we have a piano, a guitar and a djembe) - and you are most welcome to take part in these activities with us!
  We also like to go out and ride our bikes from time to time :)

  Aide

  A typical week here consists of different and varied tasks that you would help us with, like:
  
  - The garden. We mostly need help with the weeding and planting seeds. We also plan to start harvesting some vegetables :)
  - Sorting out folders and documents
  - Take part in the household chores (there's always a little something to do ;)
  
  The tasks are quite simple and don't require any skills, don't worry :) we will show you everything at the beginning.
  
  Also: I work as a nurse, but I also have a lot of freedoms in my schedule. So sometimes you will work on your own, and sometimes I will be there with you at home :)

  I love learning new languages :) My mother tongue is French and I speak Spanish fluently. I also understand Italian and Portuguese correctly (but can't speak it very well). I would be really interested to improve them, as well as my English, and learn some more German :)

  Hébergement

  You would have your own room with a bed and space for your belongings. You would share the bathroom with Raphaël.
  If you prefer or need more space, you can also sleep in our sunroom (which is equipped with mattresses and a pellet stove).

  Autres infos...

  - We often eat vegetarian, raw and organic food, so there is no problem if you have dietary restrictions, but we also eat meat from time to time. There are a lot of farms nearby, so most of our food (fruit and vegetables, eggs, cheese, ...) is very local :)
  
  - Our kids are allergic to animal hair: we don't have pets and thus we don't accept them. We would also prefer someone who is non-smoker, but if you're an occasional smoker it's ok if you smoke outside :)
