Description
I m an media artist, who live ten years in amazing Vis island in Croatia. Self-sustainable project such as producing solar energy, collecting rain water and building traditional stone houses using local materials without concrete, collecting wild plants and essential oils distillation are my occupations.
Now i m trying to run low-maintenance, sustainable forest garden to produce organic food, so i need helpers who will work with me and learn about permaculture. Other activities what volunteers can expect are gathering wild plants such as oregano,lavander,sage and producing essential oils in my small water steam distillery. All volunteers will get a small gift from products what we made together.

You will learn how to recognize aromatic plants and make an essential oils, learn how to build dry stone walls, permaculture, gardening and and art projects.

4-5 hours daily of work together with me, rest of the day you can spent on the beach or exploring amazing Vis island

Camping in tent on amazing location in the forest; near is amazing isolated beach so rest of the day you can use for swimming or just chilling on the beach. The kitchen is part of old stone house, equipped with gas cooker, fire stove and anything you need. Optionally,you can bring your own tents or hammock and set-up here. I prefer workawayers with own camper vans.
I will provide and cook 3 meals daily with volunteers help in the kitchen. Food is basically meditereanean with lot of vegetables and sea fish. Ingredients will be agreed with volunteers. Sometimes will we use open air kitchen in a place of work.
