Our farm is a foster farm & llama refuge located in the hill country of South Central Texas. The hill country of Texas has four seasons with different activities possible during each season. We have llamas, poultry, cats, dogs on 11 acres. Most activities are outdoor maintenance of facilities and llama training and care. Normal stays are 1 to 3 weeks with weekly renewal. NO illegal activities, no smoking, no perfumes. Vehicle required. Not suitable for children. ** You must be COVID vaccinated to come here. ** ** Update: Housing will be house/dog sitter next door to refuge from mid June thru Sept 7th ** Volunteers work approximately 15 hours per week with flexible hours to allow time to visit local attractions such as hiking trails, rivers, and local and state parks.

The hill country of Texas has many attractions including state parks and local rivers to enjoy. You can learn about how to start and maintain a 501(c)3 organization with hands on experience in the care of rescue animals.
The non-profit llama rescue needs help with the compassionate care of animals or the repair or construction of out-buildings or maintenance of facilities and pastures. Need to be able to lift a hay bale which is approximately 50 lbs.

House/dog sitting available next door during summer. RV electric and water or tent camping. Compost toilet and outdoor shower only currently with independent meals. A shelter with electricity and cooking area may be available.
Car needed to explore local area. Unique towns of Fredericksburg and Luckenbach are nearby with wineries, music, swimming in the rivers, and hiking in the state parks. Kerrville has many attractions including city parks along the Guadalupe river. 1 hour from San Antonio with many attractions.
