Description
I lived many years abroad and used to live with younger people in communities. I studied History and 3-dimensional Design ( Product - design/ polytechnico before). Now, back in Germany I got 2 houses and gardens, which need renovation and maintenance.
I like hiking, biking, various wateractivities, dancing, travelling, nature adventures, reading, various kind of music, design and history and I am curios to learn more and make new experiences. Sometimes I do a charity stand to collect money for animal care organisations and animal shelters.
I am host since 2017 and I always had a good experience with workaway/ers.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Its the village of "Little-Red- Ridinghood", the country of the German Fairy tales (written by Brothers Grimm). The next big city is Kassel, where the largest international art fair, the DOCUMENTA takes place every 5 years. Kassel has various parcs ( Parc Wilhelmshöhe is Unesco heritageand in summer the spectaclous watergames) and a univercity. As well Kasssel offers various museúms and festivals.
The same distance south is Marburg, one of the oldest German University Towns, with a lovely old town on the hill, where lots of students live.
There are several supermarkets and one charitystore (clothes), close to the house. in summer there are a lot of music festiavals around and midst of december a nice x-mas market in town ( in Kassel and Marburg the x-mas markets take place everyday in december).
Due to my studies and living abroad ca. 20 years I can tell you lots about culture and history and what is going on in Germany ( even I do not have a TV and of course, just if you are interested). I usually do a tour with you i, especially if you come from another country or even abroad, in Ziegenhain, my town ( the town with the new house) to show you the supermarkets and where to buy best ( as for me shops and products are part of daily national/ local culture). There are 3 german restaurants and like typical in germany nowadays some turkish, italian, greek, asian etc. or burger places.
The most workawayers stayed two weeks, as they want to travel and see more places in Germany or Europe. Longer terms are possible and depends, as I need a break once in a while.Aide
I got two houses to take care of. One is a modern bungalow, which needs gardening.
The other one is an 200 year old typical German Fachwerkhouse, which needs renovation and full gardening and parts of it will be transformed into a biological garden. Its about 16 km distance between both of them.
There is various stuff to do and usually we talk about the tasks before. In general any task is a job, which I assume, can be done in 4 hours -due to my own experience. We will talk about it before, as I always try to hand out a work, which suits your skills. You should be able to work autonomous.
Some of the work is in the old house ( usually in the afternoon) and some at the new house. in wintertime due to the weather ( and experince ) a 4h job may needs more time as its cold and everyone needs to have a break to warm up and to drink a hot tea inbetween.
Range of possible tasks: garden clearance, planting, cutting bushes, weaving a fence with branches, various constructions with palettes ( f.ex. a shelter for firewood and constructions to step to the hill for planting terraces), paving ( = taking out the old pavemant and renew it), preperation of a carport ( = digging and bringíng stones/ gravel, which got found in the garden to the construction place plus optional: if you are are skilled: to set the posts and construction), painting window frames/ garden hut/ chairs etc., repairing bycicles, sewing...Langues parlées

At the moment the accomodation is in the new house, where I have several rooms. You will have your own room and a shared bathroom. Usually I provide breakfast and dinner and during the day sandwishes or cookies . I am not a kitchen maid, so we may prepare food together or it could be your turn ;-). i am not a vegeterian, but I rarely buy or eat meat. I f you are vegan , I can go with it, but not totally.
Sometimes there are more than one or two workaways here ( got 4 sleeping rooms+) so its also a place, where you may meet other workaways from all over the world. If you are a more introverted person, you are welcome, too. The house is huge and you have enough space to be by yourself and work by yourself.Autres infos...
The villages are in the center of Germany, all trains north-south stop here and stops of Flixbus are closeby. As my village is central, there are also options to get here by Blablacar. Some workaways took advantage of its central location to do short trips on their day-off to visit other places in Germany .
I got several bicycles , which need to be done, uups ;-) and there are many biketrails close to my new house and hiking trails close to the old house in the Kellerwald.
There is also a a little airport for gliders close to the house, s.t. they take someone for free. There are lakes for swimming and rivers for SUP and canoeing around....but this is in Summer!Informations complémentaires
